POST LARGE SCHOOLS SOFTBALL PLAYER OF YEAR: ABBY PAC

All-Area: Abby Pac, large schools softball player of year

Abby Pac throws strikes, not heat. The Boca Raton senior pitcher and Palm Beach Post Large Schools Softball Player of the Year was dominant on the mound this season, mixing finesse with control on the way to compiling a 16-2 record and an area-best .

All-Area: Summer Burgess, small schools softball player of year

There are nine positions in softball, and Summer Burgess has excelled at every one. The Grandview Prep junior was a standout at catcher and second base for the Class 2A state runner-up Pride this season, but has filled in wherever needed during her four varsity seasons at the school.
