Riley Pepia and Petra Schult each had a goal and an assist to help top-ranked West Boca Raton defeat Vero Beach 4-0 and repeat as one of three champions at the Palm Beach Classic on Wednesday.
The Bulls (14-0) broke the ice about 10 minutes in when senior Tatiana Coleman scored off a pass from Schult.
Pepia made it 2-0 when her shot from about 40 yards out went into the upper left corner.
"It was supposed to be a cross (pass), but it went a little too far," Pepia said.
Vero Beach coach Jose Gibert said his Indians (10-3-2), who were undefeated before going 0-3 in the tournament, suffered from some "unlucky breaks."
One of those breaks might have helped the Bulls score their next goal.
Pepia dribbled the ball down the right side before passing to Schult. Schult's shot went through the Indians' goalkeeper's legs.
Bulls coach Hassan Jaddaoui said the key to the match was "our ability to pass the ball quickly, and we improved on our transition game as well."
Jordyn Richman finished the scoring when she took possession after two West Boca attempts were blocked and scored from 30 yards out.
West Boca goalkeeper Jenna Ornstein was seldom tested in recording her ninth shutout of the season.
No. 3 Park Vista 1, Lincoln Park Academy 1: Stephanie Peck scored a goal for the Cobras (12-2-2) as they tied the Greyhounds at the Palm Beach Classic. The tie helped Park Vista finish second in Group Three of the tournament.
No. 4 American Heritage 5, Fort Lauderdale-Archbishop McCarthy 0: Yulie Lopez and Chelsea Grisafi scored two goals apiece and Lauren Silver also scored to help the Stallions (14-3) handle the Mavericks and win the Group 2 title at the Palm Beach Classic Tournament.
No. 6 Wellington 1, North Broward Prep 0: Kaelin Anders scored the game's only goal to help the Wolverines (13-2-3) top the Eagles at the Palm Beach Classic. Sidney McClain had fives saves to earn the shutout.
Merritt Island 3, King's Academy 0: The Lions (9-6) were shut out by the Mustangs, who won the Group 3 title at the Palm Beach Classic.
Martin County 0, Spanish River 0: Goalie Madison Provines had five saves as the Tigers (5-9-1) tied the Sharks at the Palm Beach Classic.
