Wednesday night high schools basketball roundup

The top-ranked Dwyer girls basketball team won the "trap game" of a tough week on Wednesday night, getting 17 points from Keyanna Harris and 12 from Kaedi Bowers in a 64-30 victory over host Palm Beach Gardens.

Dwyer (8-1) beat No. 6 Jupiter on Monday night and plays No. 5 Palm Beach Central later this week.

Palm Beach Gardens' record dropped to 4-5.

Jensen Beach 49, Benjamin 37: Ashley Robinson scored 24 points and Kasey Cox added 18 points to lead the Falcons past the Buccaneers (4-4) in Palm Beach Gardens. Riley Burke had 17 points for Benjamin and Hannah Labovick recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Buccaneers.

Lincoln Park Academy 46, Cardinal Newman 36: Brandy Montgomery had 39 points to lead the Greyhounds past the Crusaders (6-3) in West Palm Beach. Tytionia Adderly had 20 points and 21 rebounds for the Crusaders in the loss.

St. Andrew 53, Inlet Grove 9: Allie Russo had 16 points and 11 steals to lead the Scots (8-1) past the Hurricanes in Boca Raton.

Palm Beach Lakes 56, West Boca Raton 36: Shaina Wottitz scored nine points in a losing effort for the Bulls (2-7) against the Rams in Boca Raton.

Boca Raton 59, Santaluces 24: Kathryn Levy recorded 16 points and six rebounds, and Gaby Daniels added eight points and eight assists to lead the Bobcats (8-3) past the Chiefs in Boca Raton.

Boynton Beach 60, Forest Hill 51: Gumane Joseph had 19 points and three assists to lead the Tigers (2-2) past the Falcons (0-5) in Boynton Beach.

BOYS

Pope John Paul II 73, Oxbridge Academy 35: Kevin Johnston had 26 points and Shea Ciarletta had 17 points and six assists to lead the Eagles (3-3) past the Thunderwolves (5-1) in Boca Raton.

Seminole Ridge 46, Olympic Heights 44: Luke Miller had 14 points and nine rebounds and Steve Massillon had 12 points and six assists to lead the Hawks (2-3) past the Lions in Loxahatchee.

Treasure Coast 59, Jensen Beach 49: Justin Nichols had 19 points to help lead the Titans (5-2) past the Falcons (3-2) in Jensen Beach.

Brandy Montgomery from LPA the best girls player in the county if not the state. This young lady has the total package. She can shoot pass and play D.
