Volleyball: No. 5 Dwyer stops Suncoast

Nicole Mejias had 35 assists and 18 service points, leading fifth-ranked Dwyer to a 25-12, 16-25, 25-14, 25-21 victory over Suncoast on Wednesday night.

Emma Bottenfield added 17 kills and 6 service points for the Panthers (2-1). Suncoast fell to 0-3.

No. 3 Boca Raton d. Atlantic: 25-15, 25-9, 25-20: Libby Vilmar had 22 assists, 12 service points, and nine digs and Ruth Harrington added nine kills and four digs to lead the Bobcats (2-0) to the sweep of the Eagles (1-0) in Boca Raton. Carissa Longo had eight kills and seven digs for Atlantic.

No. 6 Park Vista d. John I. Leonard 25-14, 25-9, 25-6: Kayla Marietta had nine kills and Alexa Lightle added 11 service points to help the Cobras (1-0) sweep the Lancers (0-1) in Greenacres.

No. 9 Jupiter d. Pope John Paul II 25-16, 25-12, 25-10: Sophia Servideo had 25 assists, 15 service points, and five digs and Molly Webb added 10 kills, five service points and to lead the Warriors (1-0) to the sweep of the Eagles in Jupiter.

Palm Beach Gardens d. Palm Beach Lakes 25-10, 25-8, 25-13: Brigitte Zavithsanos had 15 service points and five kills as the Gators (2-0) swept the Rams (0-3) in Palm Beach Gardens. Logan Green contributed 14 service points and four kills.

Santaluces d. Forest Hill 25-11, 25-18, 25-17: Amanda Brill had 19 service points and 15 digs and Erica Gregorchik added 12 kills and six digs to help lead the Chiefs (2-0) sweep the Falcons (2-1) in Lantana. Leah Parker had two kills, five digs and two blocks for Forest Hill.

Palm Beach Central d. Glades Central 25-10, 25-13, 25-4: Kristen Vollender had eight kills and three aces to lead the Broncos (2-1) to the sweep of the Raiders (0-2) in Belle Glade. Alondra Melendez contributed two kills, eight aces and 20 assists for the Broncos.

Seminole Ridge d. Olympic Heights 25-20, 25-6, 18-25, 25-16: Megan O'Hara had 34 assists and 17 service points and Alexis Jordan added 14 kills, 11 service points and five aces to help the Hawks (1-0) get past the Lions (0-1) in Boca Raton. Rosemary Murray contributed 10 kills and six blocks for the Hawks.

Cardinal Newman d. Trinity Christian: 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15: Keelin Severtson had 24 assists, 10 kills, and six aces and Cathleen Romaguera added 14 kills to lead the Crusaders (1-0) over the Warriors (1-2) in West Palm Beach. Missy Kulik had 20 kills, five digs, and a service point to lead the Warriors.

American Heritage d. West Boca Raton 25-27, 25-13, 25-23, 26-24: Emily Burbank had 38 digs and Taylor Pak added 32 assists and Caroline Rapp contributed 16 kills as the Stallions (3-0) routed the Bulls (0-1) in Delray Beach. For West Boca, Monica Schbock had 24 assists, six digs and five service points and Kelsey Whalen had 13 service points, six blocks and five kills.

Im sorry, but how is the American Heritage game vs West Boca a rout? 4 game match and 3 of the games were won by 2 points. Also apparently one of the scores is reversed

Suncoast is 1-2 by the way, easily sweeping Trinity, since we are pointing out mistakes.
