Palm Beach Post Staff Reports

George Naranja scored two goals to lead top-ranked American Heritage to a 3-1 victory over eighth-ranked Wellington in the finals of the Adidas Palm Beach Classic at Village Park.

Khori Foster also scored for the Stallions (13-1), who face Plantation-American Heritage in the finals at 7 tonight.

Varela 3, No. 3 Forest Hill 2: Luis Helguera and Jario Ortiz each scored a goal, but the Falcons (8-4-3) fell to the Vipers in the White Division of the Adidas Palm Beach Classic.

No. 6 West Boca Raton 3, North Broward Prep 2: Dillan Bebia scored two goals as the Bulls (7-4) defeated the Eagles in the Blue Division's semifinals of the Adidas Palm Beach Classic. West Boca will face Deerfield Beach in the final at 7 tonight.

No. 7 Palm Beach Lakes 1, Coconut Creek 0: Lucien Holidson scored on Gregory Ismail assist with less than 30 seconds left to help the Rams (10-2-2) edge the Cougars in the White Division of the Adidas Palm Beach Classic. Roberto Depass recorded his fourth shutout of the season.

Pahokee 2, Pompano Beach-Ely 1: Jose Perez and Alfonso Gonzalez each scored a goal to help the Blue Devils (5-2-2) edge the Tigers in the White Division of the Adidas Palm Beach Classic. Pahokee will play Palm Beach Lakes tonight.

Park Vista 3, Jensen Beach 0: Travis Allyn scored two goals and Aryeh Ebrahami added a goal to lead the Cobas (7-4-1) past the Falcons in the White Division of the Adidas Palm Beach Classic. Derrick Contreras recorded his sixth shutout for Park Vista, which plays King's Academy today.

Girls soccer

No. 4 West Boca Raton 2, No. 1 Boca Raton 0: The Bulls (11-0) knocked off the Bobcats (12-1-2) at the Adidas Palm Beach Classic. Boca will play Rockledge today.

Spanish River 0, No. 2 American Heritage 0: Goalkeeper Michelle Warner made 10 saves to record her sixth shutout of the season to help the Sharks (6-4-4) tie the Stallions at the Adidas Palm Beach Classic in Wellington. Spanish River plays King's Academy today while and American Heritage faces Merritt Island.

No. 8 Park Vista 8, Deerfield Beach 0: Roxy Szakacs scored three goals and Natalie Mederos added two as the Cobras (11-2-3) routed the Bucks at the Adidas Palm Beach Classic. Goalie Katy Richardson recorded her eighth shutout of the season for the Cobras.

Boys basketball

No. 1 Dwyer 56, Miramar 47: Terrell Harris scored 16 points as the Panthers (6-1) defeated the Patriots in the third-place game of the Hawk Kreul Classic in Coral Springs. Tia Harris was named to the all-tournament team despite being held to four points against Miramar.

Barron Collier 61, Pahokee 58: Zachary Allen scored 19 points, but the Blue Devils fell to the Cougars in the consolation game of the Hawk Kreul Classic Coral Springs Challenge.

Wellington 67, Hialeah-American 64: Bruce Fleming scored 23 points and Scott Witkowski added 22 to lead the Wolverines (6-4) past the Patriots (8-4) at the Rock Holiday Tournament in Coconut Creek.

Jensen Beach 66, Port St. Lucie 55: Jermohn Queen scored 19 points and Tevin Wilson added 18 to lead the Falcons (4-5) past the Jaguars at the St. Lucie County Christmas Classic in Indian River. Jensen Beach will play Timber Creek today.

Girls basketball

Mays (Ga.) 61, No. 2 Palm Beach Gardens 35: Channetta Newby scored 11 points, but the Gators (9-2) were routed at the Lady Tiger Holiday Classic in Miami.

Ridgeview 51, West Boca Raton 48: Nicolle DeSiqueria scored 19 points, but the Bulls fell to the Panthers in the Lady Tiger Holiday Classic.
