Girls basketball: No. 4 Palm Beach Lakes stops No. 3 Lake Worth

Jackie Johnson had 21 points and 25 rebounds, leading Palm Beach Lakes to a 73-62 victory over Lake Worth in a battle of ranked girls basketball teams Thursday night in West Palm Beach.

Kayla Thigpen added 21 points and five assists for the fourth-ranked Rams (8-0).

Erna Normil scored 20 points and Jonika Garvin added 13 for third-ranked Lake Worth (5-1).

No. 2 Dwyer 85, Olympic Heights 12: Keyanna Harris had 12 points and 11 assists as the Panthers (8-0) rolled over the Lions in Palm Beach Gardens. Kaedi Bowers contributed 11 points for Dwyer.

No. 4 Dwyer 80, Jupiter 58: Alex Davis scored 31 points, leading the Panthers to the rout of the Warriors (0-3) in Jupiter. Anthony Saunders scored 16 points for Jupiter.

No. 5 Park Vista 70, Spanish River 38: Emily Lochten had 20 points and 28 rebounds and Jasmyne Martin added 24 and 10 rebounds as the Cobras (8-0) rolled over the Sharks in Lake Worth.

No. 7 Wellington 48, Jupiter 35: Haley Thompson scored 17 points and Brianna Sabbat added 15 as the Wolverines (8-2) defeated the Warriors in Wellington.

No. 9 Boca Raton 67, Santaluces 33: Abby Bukovich had 15 points and six steals and Grace Marko added 12 points as the Bobcats (6-3) handled the Chiefs in Boca Raton. Kimberly Vincente scored 12 points for Santaluces.

Palm Beach Central 41, Seminole Ridge 37 (OT): Samara Auguste scored 26 points, including a basket to force overtime, helping the Broncos get past the Hawks (4-5) in Wellington. Kaitlin O’Hara scored 18 points for Seminole.

Cardinal Newman 61, Inlet Grove 5: Tytionia Adderly had 21 points and 12 steals and Andrea Alvarez added 18 points and six assists as the Crusaders (7-3) coasted past the Hurricanes in Riviera Beach.

West Boca Raton 48, Royal Palm Beach 36: Chelsea Bowman and Shamiah Manley each scored 11 points, but the Wildcats (2-7) fell to the Bulls in Royal Palm Beach.

King’s Academy 37, St. Andrew’s 35: Morgan Jacobson scored 16 points, helping the Lions edge the Scots in Boca Raton. Kristina Olikhver scored 17 points for the Scots.

Benjamin 49, Pine School 15: Carly White scored 11 points and Julia St. Amand added 10 to lead the Buccaneers (5-3) to the rout of the Knights in Hobe Sound.

Glades Day 41, Community Christian 21: Jayci Congleton scored 10 points and Taylor Pelham added eight steals as the Gators handled the Cougars in Belle Glade. Piper Stamm and McKenzie Redish each contributed six rebounds for Glades Day.

Berean Christian 43, Trinity Christian 33: Jessica Nodell scored 21 points and Alyssa Ashworth added 10 points and seven rebounds as the Bulldogs (1-5) defeated the Warriors in Lake Worth.
