Soccer: King's Academy boys improve to 9-0

Austin Masi scored a hat trick, leading fifth-ranked King's Academy to a 5-0 victory over Drefoos in a boys soccer matchup Thursday night.

Nick Bates had three saves to earn his third shutout for the Lions (9-0).

No. 1 American Heritage 8, Coral Springs Charter 0: Greg Joseph scored four goals, Walker Dawkins added three goals and two assists and Jeff Joseph contributed three assists as the Stallions (12-1) cruised past the Panthers in Delray Beach.

Trinity Christian 9, Lake Worth Christian 1: Phil Holas had two goals and two assists and Junior Jaramillo and Darren Seferina each added two goals and an assist, leading the Warriors (10-0) to the rout of the Defenders in Boynton Beach.

Coconut Creek- North Broward Prep 2, St. Andrew's 1: David Fabregat scored a goal off an assist from Invie Sharma, but the Scots (3-6-1) fell to the Eagles in Boca Raton.

Pine School 5, Summit Christian 4: Noah Arterburn scored two goals and Matthew Swanson had a goal and an assist, but the Saints (1-5) fell to the Knights in West Palm Beach.

Donna Klein 2, Berean Christian 1: Justin Dieck scored a goal, but the Bulldogs (1-5-2) fell to the Eagles in West Palm Beach.

GIRLS

No. 1 American Heritage 9, Coral Springs Charter 0: Sarah Coy had five goals and an assist and Asia Lee-Satt added two goals to lead the Stallions (12-0) to the easy victory in Delray Beach.

Lincoln Park Academy 6, No. 9 King's Academy 2: Sarah Collins and Sara Rothberg each scored a goal, but the Lions (5-4) fell to the Greyhounds in West Palm Beach.

Boca Raton Christian 4, Pine School 0: Gabby Hurtado had three goals and an assist, leading the Blazers (5-5-1) to the victory over the Knights (4-7) in Boca Raton.

Oxbridge Academy 7, Donna Klein 0: Lisa Cedeno scored two goals and Mercedes Cedeno added a goal as the Thunderwolves (10-0) routed the Eagles in Boca Raton. Ryenne Dietrick had four saves for the Thunderwolves.

Jupiter Christian 1, Lake Worth Christian 1: Brooke Munroe scored a goal off an assist from Maureen Mikosz as the Eagles (6-3-1) tied the Defenders in Jupiter.

Glades Day 5, Berean Christian 2: Kassidy Roberts had three goals and two assists, leading the Gators (6-4) to the win over the Bulldogs (0-9-1) in West Palm Beach. Victoria Meldrim scored Berean's goals.

Dreyfoos 0, Spanish River 0: Nikki LaBonte earned her third shutout of the season for the Jaguars in Boca Raton late Wednesday.
