Soccer: Cardinal Newman girls upset King's Academy

Lexy Gonzalez scored four goals, leading the Cardinal Newman girls soccer team to a 5-1 upset of ninth-ranked King's Academy on Tuesday.

Jodi Bronstein also scored a goal for the Crusaders (3-5-1).

No. 1 American Heritage 4, Pompano Beach-North Broward Prep 2: Sarah Coy had two goals and two assists, leading the Stallions (11-0) over the Eagles in Delray Beach.

St. Andrew's 8, Boca Christian 0: Cristiana Ramirez scored four goals and Lexi Casteliano added two more to lead the Scots (8-4) to the rout of the Blazers in Boca Raton.

Jupiter Christian 5, Pine School 0: Cassidy Bell had 15 saves, but the Knights (4-6) were shut down by the Eagles in Stuart.

Boca Raton 4, Coconut Creek-Monarch 0: Taylor Moos had a goal and an assist to lead the Bobcats (9-0-1) past the Knights in Boca Raton. Mari Tamaccio had two saves to earn the shutout.

BOYS SOCCER

No. 1 American Heritage 2, Pompano Beach-North Broward Prep 1: Frederick Gill and Jeff Joseph each scored a goal as the Stallions (11-0) edged the Eagles in Coconut Creek. Austin Mills added two assists for the Stallions.

Boca Raton 4, Coconut Creek-Monarch 0: Mateus Macedo scored two goals and Hunter Vandy and Gio Bimauro both had a goal and an assist as the Bobcats (11-0-0) stopped the Knights in Boca Raton.

King's Academy 10, Pine School 2: Austin Masi had four goals and an assist and Pedro Ojeda added three goals and three assists to help the Lions (8-0) handle the Knights in West Palm Beach.

Trinity Christian 7, Summit Christian 1: Gerritson Craane had four goals and an assist and Phil Holas added a goal and two assists, leading the Warriors (9-0) to the rout of the Saints in Lake Worth.

Berean Christian 1, Boca Raton Christian 1: Francisco Gonzalez scored a goal as the Bulldogs (1-3-2) tied the Blazers in West Palm Beach.

Oxbridge Academy 2, Donna Klein 0: Andre Bigos and Alex Heitman each scored a goal as the Thunderwolves (5-2) shut out the Eagles in Boca Raton.

Boynton Beach 3, Dreyfoos 2: Steffan Gawlikoski and Aaron Tsipsis each scored a goal, but the Jaguars (3-6) fell to the Tigers in West Palm Beach.

Jupiter Christian 7: Lake Worth Christian 1: Austin Bennett and Lawson Lindsey both had two goals and two assists to lead the Eagles (3-5) to the rout of the Defenders in Boynton Beach.
