Saturday's high school softball, lacrosse results
Sunday, February 17, 2008
A two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh wasn't enough and top-ranked Dwyer suffered its second consecutive loss, falling 4-3 to Plantation-American Heritage on Saturday.
Heritage stretched its lead to 4-1 in the top of the seventh when Amanda Lanergen hit a long drive to left-center field that bounced off the top of the fence for a solo home run. It was the only earned run of the game for the Patriots, who took advantage of six errors by Dwyer.
The Panthers (2-2, No. 1 The Post Top 10) rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh and had runners on first and second when the game ended.
Catcher Clare Hosack was 2-for-3 with an RBI and right fielder Morgan Hune also was 2-for-3 with a run. Brittany Poperi was 1-for-2 and was hit by pitches twice.
Dwyer lost 1-0 to No. 3 Palm Beach Gardens on Friday.
Boys lacrosse
No. 1 St. Andrew's 20, Jacksonville-Bolles 5: Lee Coppersmith, Matt Bellando and Will Diamond each scored four goals to help the Scots (4-0) beat the Bulldogs in Jacksonville.

Hey! Your blog is totally awesome, I enjoy reading it since I founded it in google on the first place. But why you are so deep for other search queries? It’s really unfair. I recommend you to use ProChecker to improve your Google rankings (you can explore more about it clicking on the link in the URL field - it’s not a spam, of course, just a friendly advice). Please Keep writing! Best regards, Steve.
