A dominating start was more than enough to carry No. 2 Palm Beach Lakes to a 58-48 victory over No. 8 Royal Palm Beach on Saturday night in West Palm Beach.
Gito St. Fort had 17 points and Quincy Rideau had 13 points for the Rams, who outscored the Wildcats 31-16 in the first half.
Travis Weatherington led Royal Palm with 15 points.
No. 10 Suncoast 78, Dwyer 67: Jonathan Odjo had 23 points and LaTerrance Butts had 16 points to lead the Chargers past the Panthers (5-9) in Palm Beach Gardens. Roderick Gaines had 18 points for Dwyer.
Pahokee 56, Berean Christian 29: Jeleek Mitchell scored 16 points and Antone Paige added 14 rebounds to lead the Blue Devils (9-3) past the Bulldogs in Pahokee. Austin Skelton led Berean with 10 points.
Lake Worth Christian 67, Inlet Grove 63: Elva Ruben scored 21 points and Jeantal Cylla added 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Defenders (9-6) past the Hurricanes in Boynton Beach. Junior Bellgarde paced the Hurricanes with 26 points.
Summit Christian 87, Monsignor Pace 61: Shane Phillips had 27 points, 11 assists and five rebounds and Richard Gaetano had 22 points and 10 assists to lead the Saints (14-5) past the Spartans in Miami Gardens.
Coral Springs Charter 52, Boynton Beach 50: Donte Sylencieux scored 13 points but the Tigers (3-9) fell to the Panthers (11-2) in Coral Springs.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Pahokee 50, Berean Christian 27: Lasaunique Robertson had 15 points and Amber Washington had 11 points to lead the Blue Devils (12-4) past the Bulldogs (9-8) in Pahokee. Alyssa Ashworth led Berean with eight points.
No. 3 Boynton Beach 57, Suncoast 43: Alexis Sparkman recorded 21 points, six rebounds and four steals as the Tigers (14-4) beat the Chargers in Riviera Beach. Ta'Kerria Brown added 13 points for Boynton Beach. Jaylin Hawkins scored 18 points to lead Suncoast.
BOYS SOCCER
Falcon Invitational: Tony Beltran scored in regulation for Jenson Beach (8-7-1) to tie the score at 1 and the Falcons went on to outscore Clewiston 4-2 in penalty kicks to win in the championship game of the Falcon Invitational in Jensen Beach. Jensen Beach reached the final with a 5-0 win over Lincoln Park Academy. Shane Laychur had one goal and one assist for the Falcons. Clewiston beat Pine School 9-1 in the other semifinal. Pine School (7-10-1) beat Lincoln Park Academy 4-3 in the third-place match, getting two goals each from Reid Mortell and Dalton White.
WRESTLING
Seminole Ridge won the West Conference Duals in Royal Palm Beach. Seminole Ridge won all four of its duals, beating Royal Palm Beach 28-24, Glades Central 78-6, Palm Beach Central 32-28 and Wellington 36-31.
