Scouts don't give a damm about stats. If a kid is on a list of potentials for a school some poor sap (asst. coach) has to drag his butt (a$$) to the game and get the review of the player and they keep necessary stats or review to make the call.

Kids often don't know when the poor sap is watching so stats and attitude every game on and off the court matters.

Now parents and some close friends of players do like to see little johnies 8 rebounds and 2 assists and 12 points kept by some unimportant new source. Articles on top performers is another matter a asst coach or head coach might send some poor sap out based on one of those type articles because that kid is on or getting recognition and thus on the radar.

stats are good to publish please commented on December 31, 2012 at 9:07 a.m.: report abuse

@pbman.....Your opinion is your opinion, but stats do make a difference. If a kid is getting 20 plus points a game it does. I don't care lil johnny 8 points and assists......

Guys, the only stats in the roundup are the ones people call in. Our guys take those stats and put them in the recaps.
