I compiled a list of honors by school (excluding coach of the year awards). Sorry if there is a mistake or if I missed a school, I simply used my "find" tool to see how many times a school appeared and subtracted the coaches from that number, so mistakes are likely.

Atl fan commented on December 20, 2011 at 8:15 a.m.: report abuse

AH FAN commented on December 20, 2011 at 8:31 a.m.: report abuse
Just curious, how is it that. American Heritage WIns State Championship! 9 of there 15 seniors got D-1 Scholarships, and no one on the team are nominated!
Really?? commented on December 20, 2011 at 9:05 a.m.: report abuse
It is the responsibility of EACH coach to go to this meeting; unfortunately, when s/he doesnt go, some talented and deserving athletes run the risk of not being on the list. That's a shame!!
lol commented on December 20, 2011 at 9:05 a.m.: report abuse
Lol Wellington players got nominated...
@ AH Fan commented on December 20, 2011 at 9:05 a.m.: report abuse
Because AH isn't invited to be in the Palm Beach County Athletic Conference. The conference doesn't allow schools that lie, cheat and recruit.
r u kidding commented on December 20, 2011 at 9:19 a.m.: report abuse

AH FAN commented on December 20, 2011 at 10:05 a.m.: report abuse
@ AH FAN - Thanks for the feed back, we do except that we don't represent the county! Even more reason for the Stallions to Lie, Cheat and Recruit! Good luck next season to all Palm Beach County Teams. Hopefully see you at States Championships. Stallion Pride. Eventually, you all will love us when you see the results of our program. 9 D1 scholarships. 6 D2 scholarships, every senior is being paid for to play at the next level! Wow, must be nice.

All-County Teams in Post this weekend? commented on December 20, 2011 at 11:01 a.m.: report abuse
Does anyone know if the All-County Teams will be in the Post this weekend? The private schools should be represented in those teams (instead of the All-Conference Teams).

Where are the bowling all-conference players. We do not go to the meeting as they are selected and turn in earlier. Regardless though, I sent ours in. But it's just a mistake, here's the central divisions all-conference: BOYS: SPENCER KITTREDGE-PBC, KYLE PETERSEN-PBC, ALEX DESS-PBC, ROBERT BANKHERT-KA, BRENNAN FIALLO-WELL, DEAN DOUGLAS-WELL. GIRLS: KRISTY GARRISON-PBC, CRYSTAL KENNEDY-PBC, VERONICA SQUIRES-RPB, JILLIAN SOUZA-RPB, COURTNEY GALASSI-JIL, TERI ENGLISH-LW. I don't know the north and south conference, just ours. CONGRATS ALL.

Looks like Glades Central, Cardinal Newman, and Suncoast were the only schools that voted for the football 6-5-3A. Makes you wonder how CN couldn't even win their district with so many "All Conference" players.

This all conf team listing is a different list then the Post All Area teams, which will be in the paper on 12/25.
The above All Conf teams are players that are picked from a subset of the xcounty teams. Most of the privates are not part of this group. Because they are selected from a subset of the teams in the county is why you have some schools with 50 plus players mentioned.
Look for the Post All Area this weekend and the FACA Alla Area team, when it comes out.

This AH hatred has gotten so old. If they were a losing team Nobody would complain. The job of private schools and catholic schools is to enroll students. If these children and there parents want to go that is there right. No one is forcing these children to go. Last time I checked we live in the USA. get a grip people and stop spewing this nonsense.

They Goin Back to states next year and watch how many players from around palm beach county want to come to AH while yal hating on them your children gone be asking to go there...yal need to suck up your pride and do whats best for your kids cause AH is the place to be it aint no military secret yal will realize AH is the new Dwyer And Glade Central Check That!!!!

name one player better than Greg Bryant in Palm Beach And Please dont say William Likely cause when Greg lead his team to A State Championship Will was watching the game at home... And Kelvin Taylor First Off He damn near 20 playing football and he doesnt play anyone and when he does he gets shut down...Greg has prove that they play great defenses maybe not coming out with the win but against Glades Central what running back has rushed for over 200 yds?? o ok Kelvin Taylor plays against Middle Schools and gets 85% of the plays that they run in a game Greg shared time with a decent running back in Jeremy Gaskins(who had over 1000 yds rushing this year) and Greg still had over 2000 yds Kelvin is a great running back dont get me wrong he jus not a greg bryant greg gets 5 carries and has over 100 yds and 2tds umm kelvin taylor 50 Carries he should have over 300 yds if he doesnt somethings wrong and doesnt share time with anyone wait til next year greg will have over 3000 yds(including playoffs) rushing easy he'll be the only running back at AH and its his time to shine
Coach commented on December 20, 2011 at 2:37 p.m.: report abuse
Everyone should know that it is the responsibility of each and every coach to show up to get their better players recognition. I was at the meeting last night and the attendance was horrible. Less than 50 percent of the coaches showed up. Those coaches that didn't show should be ashamed of themselves. That being said, the process is antiquated and needs to be revamped. Each conference region is so small that there is no reason that one coach from each region can't be made responsible to poll the other coaches in his or her region via email or text to come to a consensus and then send the results in to the lovely and personable Yetta Green.
AH WHINERS SHUT UP! commented on December 20, 2011 at 2:44 p.m.: report abuse
Heritage is not a member of the PBAC; therefore, none of your players will be on the list.
@ just curious commented on December 20, 2011 at 3:28 p.m.: report abuse
You are correct Kelvin isnt Greg Bryant, Kelvin is the most celebrated RB in Florida and will be a 5 star prospect. Then again you suckheads from AH think you know more about football than every HC and recruting coordinater in the SEC.
Heck Kelvins backup rushed for 2000 yds at PBG .
When you are the only offensive weapon and 90% of the time theres 9 in the box with 2 DBs cheating you have to be good no matter what classification

Players Protest commented on December 20, 2011 at 5:17 p.m.: report abuse
The coaches that didn't show at the meeting should be fired! The players deserve more than this from representing their teams and playing hard all season. No Atlantic players and no Pahokee players? Just plain lazy on the coaches part. I feel bad for the kids that desrved to be on this list and the players of those teams need to protest to their schools AD.

Don't know who submitted these names but on second team offense class 7a under OL Nathan Rippe is listed, and he never played in a game this year because of injury. In addition almost all SR players names are spelled incorrectly.

River didn't have a Craig White on the roster, N Rippe didn't play all season, would love to know what coach went from River as not much makes any sense!

I need some help. How does somebody win all conference awward when they never played fall football because they were injured? Don’t get me wrong, I like Nathan Rippe and he is a fine kid but he never played a single down of football this fall because he was injured. Certainly there are more deserving people who actually played all season.
This is stupid. commented on December 22, 2011 at 6:02 p.m.: report abuse
When is the all county article come out? The one we took pictures for? Not this with basically everyone and their mother on it.
sportsfan commented on December 22, 2011 at 11:38 p.m.: report abuse
Doesnt anyone read previous posts before they post a question to see if it was answered? IF your school is part of the PB Conferences, your ADs were sent emails about the meeting and it is the responsibility of the coaches to show up and submit their kids. This is ONLY a way to get some kids some recognition ( and NOT picked or voted on by the sportswriters) b/c when the ALL COUNTY awards come out (and voted on coaches and the sportswriters) it is a smaller number of kids recognized. In other words, you people are making way too much of this other than you should be yelling at your coaches for not representing your school.
