Girls soccer: Yulie Lopez's two goals lift No. 2 Palm Beach Central to 2-1 win over No. 3 Boca Raton

Yulie Lopez scored both of her team's goals, including the go-ahead score, to lift No. 2 Palm Beach Central to a 2-1 victory over No. 3 Boca Raton in a girls soccer match Monday night in Boca Raton.

The Broncos improved to 15-0, while the Bobcats dropped to 14-1-1.

Boca Raton struck first as Morgan Mannweiler scored early in the match. Lopez then tied the game shortly before halftime and scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second half.

Wellington 3, Seminole Ridge 0: Darby Bach scored twice and Riley Nicholson added a goal to lead the Wolverines (6-4-4) past the Hawks in Wellington. Jessie Hole recorded her third shutout for the Wolverines.

Jupiter Christian 3, Glades Day 1: Brooke Munroe had two goals and an assist to lead the Eagles (10-3-1) past the Gators (6-7-1) in Jupiter. Kassidy Roberts scored the only goal for the Gators.

Dwyer 8, Boynton Beach 0: Stephanie Gavino scored and had two assists and Chloe Prayon added one goal and an assist to lead the Panthers (4-5-3) past the Tigers in Boynton Beach.

Palm Beach Gardens 8, Palm Beach Lakes 0: Jourdan Porter had her first goal of the season and fellow senior Kenna Esplin also scored for the Gators (10-4) against the Rams in Palm Beach Gardens.

Trinity Christian 6, Lake Worth Christian 4: Carlie Frullo scored three goals and Tori Hamel had two goals and an assist, leading the Warriors (10-3) past the Eagles in Lake Worth.

South Fork 7, Port St. Lucie 0: Kelly Delowery scored the first goal of the match and Christie Funk had five saves, the last of which was on a penalty kick, to lead the Bulldogs (13-0-1) past the Jaguars in Stuart.

BOYS

No. 1 Boca Raton 8, Palm Beach Central 0: David Adejumobi scored three goals, Hiro Shimizu added two goals and Nico Midttun had five assists as the Bobcats (17-0) toppled the Broncos in Boca Raton. Brian Kilgallon and Collin Foody combined for the shutout.

Trinity Christian 4, No. 3 King's Academy 3: Giuseppe Best scored two goals to lead the Warriors (13-0) past the Lions (9-2) in West Palm Beach.

American Heritage 3, Calvary Christian 1: Walker Dawkins, Greg Joseph and Austin Mills each scored as the Stallions (14-1-2) won in Delray Beach.

Palm Beach Lakes 3, Palm Beach Gardens 1: Sam Duval scored two goals and Kens Dipines added a score to lead the Rams (6-5-2) past the Gators in Palm Beach Gardens.

Oxbridge Academy 6, Lake Worth Christian 0: Evan Pineiro scored two goals and James Hall had four assists and one goal to lead the Thunderwolves (7-4) past the Defenders in West Palm Beach.

Sebastian River 2, Jensen Beach 0: The Falcons fell to 5-6-1 with a loss in Fellsmere.

Completely agree with their tweet, would this paper not cover Dwyer or AHDR if they were #1 in the country in football? Or any other sport for that matter. Give the Boca kids their time in the spotlight that they have worked so hard to achieve. And stop hating on Boca Raton.
