Girls soccer: Park Vista, Spanish River, West Boca advance in District 10-5A

Maya Pun and Taryn Santiago each scored two goals as No. 5 Park Vista defeated sixth-seeded Atlantic 7-3 in Boca Raton on Monday in the District 10-5A girls soccer playoffs.

The Cobras (15-4-1), seeded third in the district, will play No. 7 West Boca at 6 p.m Wednesday.

No. 10 Spanish River 3, John I. Leonard 0: Brianna McGraw scored two goals and Sarah Grubman added a goal to lead the Sharks (13-6-2), the No. 5 seed in District 10-5A, past the fourth-seeded Lancers at Boca Raton. Spanish River will take on No. 3 Boca Raton, the district's top seed, at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

No. 7 West Boca 8, Santaluces 0: Kelly Harris scored three goals to lead the second-seeded Bulls (10-5-3) past the seventh-seeded Chiefs in Lantana.

District 9-5A

Wellington 8, Seminole Ridge 0: Darby Bach scored two goals to lead the third-seeded Wolverines (8-6-4) past the sixth-seeded Hawks in Wellington. The Wolverines will play second-seeded Jupiter at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Palm Beach Gardens 8, Dwyer 0: Kelsey Parry scored three goals to lead the fourth-seeded Gators past the fifth-seeded Panthers in Wellington. The Gators will take take on No. 2 Palm Beach Central, the district's top seed, at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

District 15-3A

Okeechobee 2, Fort Pierce Westwood 1: Brianna Nunez and Brooke Snyder each scored a goal to lead the fifth-seeded Brahmans (3-11-2) past the fourth-seeded Panthers in Fort Pierce. Okeechobee will take on Jensen Beach, the district's No. 1 seed, at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

District 13-2A

No. 7 St. Andrew's 5, Coral Springs Charter 1: Katie Johnson added two goals to lead the third-seeded Scots (14-5) past the sixth-seeded Panthers in Boca Raton. St. Andrew's will play North Broward Prep, a 7-1 winner over Calvary Christian, at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 6, Pope John Paul 1: The fifth-seeded Eagles (6-9-4) lost in their matchup against the fourth-seeded Panthers in Boca Raton.

District 12-2A

King's Academy 8, John Carroll 0: Sarah Collins recorded three goals and four assists and Brittany Alaniz added three goals to lead the fourth-seeded Lions (10-7) past the fifth-seeded Rams in Royal Palm Beach. The Lions will play No. 4 Benjamin, the district's top seed, at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Beach Gardens.

District 13-1A

FAU High 2, Donna Klein 0: The fifth-seeded Owls (2-12) defeated the fourth-seeded Eagles (5-7-1) in Boca Raton and will play top-seeded Boca Raton Christian at 4 p.m. today.

District 12-1A

Lake Worth Christian 8, Pine School 1: Tiffany Anderson and Kaylie Hemstreet each scored three goals to lead the fourth-seeded Defenders (12-8-2) past the fifth-seeded Knights in Boynton Beach. Lake Worth Christian will play at top-seeded Jupiter Christian today at 3 p.m.

Trinity Christian 8, Berean Christian 0: Tori Hamel and Dahlia Pierre each scored three goals to lead the second-seeded Warriors (11-6) past the seventh-seeded Bulldogs in Lake Worth. Trinity Christian will play Glades Day at 1 p.m. today in Jupiter.

Glades Day 3, Wellington Christian 2: Kassidy Roberts scored one goal and two assists to lead the third-seeded Gators (10-7-2) past the sixth-seeded Eagles in Belle Glade. Ransey Rothenberg scored a goal in defeat for the Eagles.

BOYS SOCCER

No. 4 King's Academy 2, Clewiston 1: Austin Masei and Bobby Pappas each scored a goal to lead the Lions (14-5) past the Tigers in Royal Palm Beach.

No. 6 Royal Palm Beach 4, Palm Beach Gardens 1: Kyle Edmonds scored three goals to lead the Wildcats (19-1) past the Gators in Palm Beach Gardens.

No. 7 Jupiter 4, Jensen Beach 1: James Holdt, Jon Cifuentes, Nate Phillips, Frankie Levas each scored a goal as the Warriors (9-3-2) defeated the Falcons (8-8-1) in Jupiter. Shane Laychur scored a goal for the Falcons.

No. 8 Park Vista 1, Wellington 0: Steve Sosa scored the game's lone goal as the Cobras (9-5-4) edged the Wolverines in Wellington.

Palm Beach Lakes 2, No. 9 Atlantic 1: Kevin McFarland and Brian Nicholas each scored as the Rams (9-6-3) beat the Eagles (11-4) in West Palm Beach.

Seminole Ridge 2, John I. Leonard 2: Travis Virgo and Cody Ehrlund each scored a goal for the host Hawks (5-9-2) as they tied with the Lancers in Loxahatchee.

Wellington 1, Suncoast 1: Sean O'Hara scored one goal aas the Chargers (6-5-3) tied the Wolverines.
