Girls basketball: No. 4 Grandview Prep opens with rout

Neydja Petithomme had 29 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, leading fourth-ranked Grandview Prep to a 62-35 season-opening rout of Spanish River on Tuesday night.

Zionise Pierre-Louis added 25 points, 14 rebounds and five steals for the Pride.

Trinity Christian 52, Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian 51: Alicia McCray had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists and Qeyocia Thomas added 27 points as the Warriors edged the Eagles (1-0) in Fort Lauderdale.

Berean Christian 52, Oxbridge Academy 37: Evlicia Smith had 20 points and nine rebounds and Jessica Nodel added nine points and four assists as the Bulldogs (1-0) beat the Thunderwolves (1-1) in West Palm Beach. Tahira McDaniel scored 11 points and Riley Harrison added nine for Oxbridge.

Miami-Monsignor Pace 41, West Boca Raton 33: Zaena Derice had 19 rebounds and Alonna Terrell added 10 rebounds, but the Bulls (0-1) fell to the Spartans (1-0) in Boca Raton.

Treasure Coast 50, Fort Pierce Central 35: Rosemarie Jullien had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Collins added five assists as the Titans (1-0) routed the Cobras (0-1) in Fort Pierce.

Centennial 67, Jensen Beach 65: Ashley Robinson had 24 points, nine rebounds and seven steals and Kasey Cox added 21 points, eight steals and five assists, but the Falcons (0-1) fell to the Eagles (0-1) in Jensen Beach.

GIRLS SOCCER

Pine School 2, Vero Beach-St. Edward's 0: Sarah Sharfi scored both goals to lift the Knights (2-3) over the Pirates in Stuart. The Pine School bounced back from an 8-0 loss at St. Edward's last week.

American Heritage 5, Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 0: Sarah Coy had two goals and an assist and Hannah Coy added a goal and an assist as the Stallions (5-0) shut down the Panthers in Fort Lauderdale.

Glades Day 8, Moore Haven 0: Kassidy Roberts had two goals and two assists, leading the Gators (4-0) to the rout of the Terriers in Belle Glade. Jade Echols and Savanna Zipperer each added two goals.

Trinity Christian 8, Berean Christian 0: Carlie Frullo had two goals and two assists and Katie Bewley added a goal and an assist to lead the Warriors (3-2) to the rout of the Bulldogs (0-4) in Lake Worth.

Oxbridge Academy 4, FAU High 0: Samantha Chung scored two goals, Danielle Anderson added a goal and Ryenne Dietrich earned her fourth shutout as the Thunderwolves (6-0) downed the Owls in West Palm Beach.

Jupiter Christian 4, Wellington Christian 1: Tessa Wilson scored a goal, but Wellington Christian fell in Wellington.

St. Andrew's 4, Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian 0: Sydney Michelin scored three goals and Hayley Crowell also scored as the Scots (3-2) handled the Eagles in Fort Lauderdale.

Boca Raton Christian 0, Yeshiva 0: Alex Link had six saves as the Blazers (3-2,1) tied the Storm in Boca Raton.

Dreyfoos 3, Suncoast 1: Tori Cruz, Sarah MacLean, and Alana Grnja each scored a goal to lead the Jaguars (3-1) past the Chargers in Riviera Beach.

King's Academy 8, John Carroll 0: Sarah Collins scored three goals, Brittany Alaniz added two goals and Rachel Spell earned her third shutout as the Lions (3-0) routed the Rams in Fort Pierce.

BOYS SOCCER

Summit Christian 4, Berean Christian 2: Eder Barrios scored two goals and Matthew Swanson added two assists as the Saints (1-1) defeated the Bulldogs (0-3) in West Palm Beach. Francisco Gonzalez and Caleb Pinkerman scored for Berean.

King's Academy 3, Lincoln Park Academy 1: Travis Gonzalez had a goal and an assist and Pat Monaco and Austin Masi each added a goal as the Lions (4-0) defeated the Greyhounds in West Palm Beach.

South Fork 6, Jupiter Christian 0: Tyler Player had 10 saves, but the Eagles fell to the Bulldogs in Jupiter.

Jensen Beach 1, Vero Beach 1: Tony Beltran scored a goal and Andrew Weisbrot had three saves as the Falcons (0-2, 1) tied the Indians in Jensen Beach.

TOOSDI - How dare ya'll take a vacation????????? Just knddiig!!!! When your work hard, you should always play hard. So a vacation was much needed for you both because you both work extremely hard.
