Football roundup: American Heritage doubles up Westminster Christian 28-14

Senior James Potts ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns, leading seventh-ranked American Heritage to a 28-14 win over Miami-Westminster Christian in a Class 1A regional semifinal Friday night.
The Stallions (8-3), who won their eighth straight game, jumped out to a 21-0 lead midway through the second quarter on rushing touchdowns by Potts and quarterback Darius Millines, and a 28-yard interception return for a score by Isaiah Howard.
After the Warriors fought back to 21-14 early in the fourth, the Stallions sealed it with a time-consuming drive that ended with Potts' second touchdown of the game.
The Stallions will host Calvary Christian in Friday's regional final.
Palm Bay-Bayside 17, Royal Palm Beach 13: Javonti Greene ran for two touchdowns, but the Wildcats (4-6) fell to the Bears (6-4) in the Class 5A playoffs in Palm Bay.
Plantation-American Heritage 34, Boynton Beach 13: American Heritage running back Sony Michel rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Patriots (9-2) to a first-round regional playoff victory over the Tigers (4-7) in Plantation.
Marcus Davis threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Edwin Thomas for Boynton Beach.
Pompano Beach-Ely 49, Wellington 3: Tavarius Walker rushed for 219 yards and three touchdowns, and the Tigers (10-1) cruised past the Wolverines in a Class 5A regional quarterfinal in Pompano Beach.
Merritt Island 49, Olympic Heights 29: The Mustangs (10-1) rushed for 360 yards and had 471 yards of total offense while knocking the Lions (6-5) out of the Class 2A playoffs in Merritt Island. Merritt advances to face district foe Fort Pierce Westwood in Friday's semifinals.
Boyd Anderson 20, West Boca Raton 14: Boyd Anderson quarterback Ghierry Vanderkuyp scored on a 1-yard sneak with 1:23 remaining to help the Cobras (6-5) get past the Bulls (7-4) in a Class 5A regional quarterfinal game in Boca Raton.
Eric Schaefer returned the ensuing kickoff 64 yards to Boyd Anderson's 30. The Bulls had a first-and-goal at the 3-yard line with 21 seconds remaining but four incomplete passes allowed Boyd Anderson to escape.
Glades Day 47, Miami-MacArthur North 24: Running back Kelvin Taylor ran for five touchdowns as the Gators won at North Miami Stadium.
Glades Day trailed 12-0 but Taylor ran for touchdowns of 29, 18 and 10 yards as the Gators took control.

heritage controlled that whole game westminister had no chance heritage is a state calber team calvary should just pack up and go home
