What about cross country from JIL and PV. They have to be considered. They battled all season with first/second place finishes!!

OH alum commented on December 16, 2010 at 11:18 a.m.: report abuse

wow it is great to see the mighty Lions representing on both sides of the ball. They had a dominating offense and the best defense and it is great to see the players recognized like this. Great Job Coaches! Hope the resurgence continues next year! It is great to see Coach Leibo still walking the sideline along with the new coaches. Bringing back the Lions ruling Boca again!

Pahokee beats ATL-6A
Cardinal Newman beats Pahokee 2A
Kings crushes Cardinal Newman 2A
Heritage beats Kings 1A
Glades Central barely beats Heritage 1A
Glades Central 2A beats Dwyer 4A last time they played

old ball coach commented on December 16, 2010 at 2:19 p.m.: report abuse

WOW!!!! you list one game where Pahokee beats Atlantic. Kings, CN, Heritage you listed thanks for proving my point it doesnt matter

sportsfan commented on December 16, 2010 at 2:41 p.m.: report abuse

Volleyball west division: 2 players from PBC on 1st team and a co-coach of the year? they didin't even go to district playoffs. Wellington won the conference, undefeated and their coach doesnt win or at least co-coach w/Ridge? some interesting choices in football as well, but as someone pointed out, if your coach doesn't show up, unless the other coaches concede a spot, your kids don't get picked. Most conf. championships don't mean anything anyways, since your district is what matters for playoffs

Misspellings commented on December 16, 2010 at 3:26 p.m.: report abuse

Note to readers: We have edited the All-Conference teams. We apologize for any spelling errors.

The All-Conference teams are selected by the coaches in the Palm Beach County Athletic Conference, which includes most of the schools in Classes 6A-2B.

They are not the Palm Beach Post All-Area teams.

Hmmm commented on December 17, 2010 at 10:15 a.m.: report abuse

Are you guys going to change the recruiting list at all now that some of these names have come out? how bout when all county and all area comes out?

JCS Fan commented on December 17, 2010 at 10:28 a.m.: report abuse

Let's see, Jupiter Christians Trey Pendergrass is the 1B Player of the year, has over 2000+ yards, beat team 5 times larger than his school, and he doesn't make your list??? What's up with that?? And Kelvin Taylor and GD, who are the ONLY team in our county to win states and they don't get a mention either???? Come on guys, get with the program!!!

??? commented on December 17, 2010 at 10:42 a.m.: report abuse

When will all-area and all-county be announced?

CL561 commented on December 17, 2010 at 10:48 a.m.: report abuse

Suprised not to see Curt Maggitt on the list. Did the coaches that picked these teams not watch the same kid I saw play...

I know commented on December 17, 2010 at 12:55 p.m.: report abuse

That list is crazy No Glades Central, Glades Day, JPC, JIL but they have Forest Hill !!!! Spanish River!!!! and Boynton combined record 1-30 c'mon man

The Ridge commented on December 17, 2010 at 3:39 p.m.: report abuse

@haters,

I have a ton of respect for the teams you mentioned, but, 11 on 11 in a game that counts, anytime-anywhere!

@I know commented on December 17, 2010 at 3:56 p.m.: report abuse

When talking about individual players, you can't factor in record. Your team record has nothing to do with the player.

sportsfan commented on December 17, 2010 at 4:47 p.m.: report abuse

@JCS fan and others: if you scan up a bit, you will see that the paper does not list for 1a,1b teams. for the others, if your coach didn't go to the meeting, then your kids will probably not be on a list. these teams really don't mean much, the post did not pick them, ONLY the coaches who attended.

GDS and JCS commented on December 18, 2010 at 6:56 a.m.: report abuse

glades day and jupiter christian will put a fight up vs any big school and has a very good chance at winning. and heritage which is 1a will whoop any big 5a or 6a school in the county

@ ol ball coach commented on December 19, 2010 at 5:44 p.m.: report abuse

ole ball coach you are soo wrong what, you dont even deserve to call yourself that after those comments. your trying to tell us that automatically the size of the school means that they have a more talented team. ok so your saying the GDS or hell eve JCS for that matter couldnt beat a 6A Palm beach gardens team or a palm beach lakes. what about palm beach central or wellington. ill take GDS 2010 against seminole ridge by 14 points. and you can call there head coach on that one and ask why he would not schedule GDS for the kickoff classic when GDS requested it. if im correct his words were we are a 6A team and it would look bad on us if we were to lose to you guys.

nikedel pierre commented on December 20, 2010 at 2:29 a.m.: report abuse

every body keep saying i made the second team . but the list for class 5/a dont have a second team my name is the second 1 for offensive line on the first team list.and can some one explain to me ? does the list go frome best to worst.

AHS YES commented on January 6, 2011 at 3:48 p.m.: report abuse

Angelo Jean Louis is a thief who should be in jail. He stole my cell phone and then tried to sell it back to me. I reported him and nothing happens, he still plays even though the school cops caught him with some stolen phones :-(
