Dwyer's Jacoby Brissett chooses to make official visit to Miami, not Florida, this weekend

PALM BEACH GARDENS -- Dwyer's two-sport star Jacoby Brissett said Wednesday that he will make an official visit to Miami this weekend and not Florida. Both schools were vying for the four-star quarterback to visit. National signing day is Feb. 2.
Miami football coach Al Golden sat with Brissett's family Tuesday night at Dwyer's basketball game at Lake Worth. Golden is making a strong push for Brissett because the Hurricanes do not have a quarterback in their 2011 recruiting class.
North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams also was at Lake Worth Tuesday and Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan visited Dwyer basketball practice Wednesday. A UM basketball assistant coach will be at Dwyer practice Thursday, but Dwyer basketball coach Fred Ross said those coaches are more likely looking at Dwyer junior center Joel James, although they still have their eye on Brissett, who is a three-star guard.

Wisconsin Badgers!! Jacoby remember your visit when the BADGERS dominated the OSU buckeyes!! Curt we definitely could use on our D too!! Greta fishing in the state of Wisconsin!! Also look where our basketball team is ranked. The UW plays in the NCAA tourney every year too!!

Yea, go to Wis. and hand off to running backs all game long. After the game you can layer up your clothing to deal with the sub freezing temps that last about 5 of the 9 months of school ... or you can come to the U and run our pro style offense for the next four years and win a Heisman and a Nat. Championship. You and Chick can be the anchors of the class that brings the Canes back to National prominance.Your choice!

Wisconsin is likely the best fit for Mr. Brissett. Not only have they been consistently interested in Mr. Brissett but they offer top-25 teams in basketball, football and other NCAA sports. Coach Chryst is excellent at developing quarterbacks and has a track record of starting the best qualified candidate regardless of class. From an educational standpoint, Wisconsin CLEARLY trumps the other schools listed and boasts the most Fortune 500 CEO's of any university. With discipline and a committment to personal excellance, Mr. Brissett will benefit himself most by attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Wisconsin has ice fishing for fish smaller than the bait used in FLA. Take a good look at the temps in Madison WI today compared to Miami.

Lead the U back to a sixth national ship Jacoby!
I know you'll commit there!
U WHO? commented on January 27, 2011 at 10:17 a.m.: report abuse
option 1: Yeah guys, go to "THE u" and drive 30 min to your dump stadium.(by the way U dont own a stadium) Also have fun playing in front of 20,000 fans, 90% of which never went to UM. It would also be nice to be a member of a recruiting class of 8 athletes.
option 2: Go to UF and win a NC. Play in a real conf., the SEC. Be a part of something special. Play in the best stadium in football, in front of the most passionate fans. GO GATORS!!! We will win with or without you, so come along for the ride and be a winner!!!!

Jacoby is a FLORIDA BOY. Wisconsin or Washington is no place for a kid from Florida. Why not get a qb from your own state. Oh yeah thats right. Madison might be a cool college town to someone from the midwest who is use to snow. Miami is one of the most unique places in this country. Close to home, way better looking women, and great education. Plus you get to join the NFL fraternity. Get to train with Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, and Willis McGahee in the off season.

Canes are a long ways off from competing for a Nat'l Title. You will waste 4 years just trying to get an ACC crown (maybe 5th best conference) from Va Tech or FSU.
Go to a real college town where it will be all about you Jacoby, Not about the U that used to exist. Enjoy playing in an on campus stadium with 80,000 fans cheering you on at Bama, UF, Auburn !! The U lost to USF, lawd knows they may be losing to FIU next !!

Stay at Dwyer for another year. Jack Daniels can get you another year of eligibility. It's not like the FHSSA makes Dwyer follow eligibility or recruiting rules. Jack Nicholas can pay ya for another year.

You all are always jealous of the Miami-Wining 5 national ships in 25 years and playing for another 7 ain't to shabby for that little school down in the little old city of Coral Gables and producing more NFL players and players that STAR in the NFL than any other college in AMERICA!
Keep trying and remember its all about the U!!!!!!!!!!!
Jacoby will be a CANE come NSD!

Can YOU predict the future ?? How do you know that Jacoby will be a program changer? or that O'Leary will be a top flight college player ? I saw some of Jacory Harris high school games and he looked like a better HS QB than Jacoby did at many times. and Harris has been terrible at the U. Dwyer didn't exactly play a bunch of world beaters this year until playoffs.None of us know ! Miami needs to just win their 3rd tier conference just once !!! The 90's are over

You are right Jim Beam. With the amount of recruited players on Dwyer's football and basketball team, It amazes me that the FHSAA has not shut down their sports program. Oh well that is just the corrupt world we live in. In my opinion, The palm beach post is part of the problem by giving Dwyer's football and basketball programs so much publicity when they know for a fact that they recruit and indirectly the palm beach post gives Dwyer another recruiting tool because kids see all the press Dwyer gets compared to other schools and thus they leave their school to go to Dwyer. Great job Jeff Greer!

Jacoby,
You are a special talent and there is no place like Miami! The school is small and will allow you to have a quiet life while playing there the next 3-4 years. The good part is that when you want to get away and go into the City or to a Heat game or Fins game it is at your fingertips.
Palm Beach won't be far away as well whenever you need some home cooking.. Go Canes.. I see Brissett bringing the Swagger back to Miami!

You guys are jokers commented on January 28, 2011 at 2:57 p.m.: report abuse
You guys got to be kidding me!!! All you Miami boys are living in the past. Miami will be lucky to place 4th in the ACC this year. What was your record this season??? Oh yeah 7-6 a game over .500 and you lost your bowl game... What bowl was it again?? Oh yeah it was the Amana Porcelain Bowl. Sucks you guys got flushed in that one. If those boys want to got to a second rate program (these days) with a view of the ocean then have at it, but if they want a program that will compete year after year I know where they're headed.
2009 Champs Sports Bowl
Score: 20-14
On Wisconsin

I hope he does not choose to play in front of small crowds for the Miami Hurricanes. 40,000 per game? That's small time college football. Come to Wisconsin and play in front of 80,000 + fans every week. The program's on the rise and just needs the missing part of the puzzle. That would be you JB.
Jump Around!
