Boys Soccer: No. 4 Royal Palm Beach advances in districts

Kyle Edmonds scored two goals, leading fourth-ranked Royal Palm Beach to a 5-1 victory over Lake Worth in a District 14-4A boys soccer quarterfinal Tuesday night in Royal Palm Beach.

The top-seeded Wildcats (22-1) advance to face second-seeded Port St. Lucie in Thursday's semifinals.

Palm Beach Lakes 2, Olympic Heights 1: Sam Duval 1 goal and Kens Depines each scored a goal and Jameson Exil had an assist as the Rams edged the Lions in Boca Raton.

Port St. Lucie 1, South Fork 0: Michael Charak had the game winner in penalty kicks as the Jaguars topped the Bulldogs in Port St. Lucie. Jesus Garcia had seven saves in the win for the Jaguars.

Martin County 2, Fort Pierce Central 0: Matt DiNenna had 15 saves, leading the Tigers (16-2-3) over the Cobras late Monday in Stuart.

District 10-5A

No. 1 Boca Raton 1, Park Vista 0: Giovanni DiMauro scored the only goal to lead the top-seeded Bobcats (21-2) over the fourth-seeded Cobras. Brian Kilgallon had three saves for Boca.

John I. Leonard 3, Spanish River 2 (SO 4-2): Alfredo Salazar and Ros Morvan each scored a goal in regulation and Danny Zamarono scored the game-winner in the shootout as the sixth-seeded Lancers (11-6-3) upset the second-seeded Sharks in Boca Raton.

District 9-5A

Palm Beach Central 6, Dwyer 0: Ricardo Tapia scored two goals as the third-seeded Broncos (7-8-5) beat the sixth-seeded Panthers in Wellington.

Palm Beach Gardens 4, Seminole Ridge 2: Geronimo Bejarano and Johnson Cijulus each had a goal and an assist to lead the fifth-seeded Gators (6-8-2) over the fourth-seeded Hawks in Wellington. The Gators will play Jupiter at 8 p.m. Thursday.

District 15-3A

Suncoast 5, Fort Pierce Westwood 1: Brandon Smith and Tyler Westover each scored two goals to lead the fifth-seeded Chargers over the fourth-seeded Panthers in Fort Pierce. The Chargers will face Boynton Beach at 5 p.m. Thursday in Jensen Beach.

Jensen Beach 5, Dreyfoos 1: Dustin Boudrdeau scored three goals and Josh Venter and Ryan Pechner each added a goal as the Tigers (9-8-1) routed the Jaguars in Jensen Beach. The Tigers will face Okeechobee at 7 p.m. Thursday.

District 13-2A

Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian 1, St. Andrew's 0: The fifth-seeded Scot's (5-11-3) fell to the fourth-seeded Eagles in Delray Beach.

Coconut Creek-North Broward Prep 5, Pope John Paul II 2: Andres Weitzke and Travis Hughes each scored a goal, but the sixth-seeded Eagles (2-16-1) fell in Delray Beach.

District 12-2A

No. 5 King's Academy 8, Pahokee 0: Austin Masi and John Mattessich each scored two goals, leading the second-seeded Lions (16-5) to the rout of the seventh-seeded Blue Devils in West Palm Beach. Joey Fitos added a goal and Nick Bates had two saves to earn the shutout for the Lions.

District 13-1A

Pompano Beach-Highlands Christian 4, Boca Raton Christian 2: The Blazers fell to the Knights (10-5-3) in Pompano Beach.

District 12-1A

Berean Christian 6, Summit Christian 1: Justin Dieck and Carlos Ayala each scored two goals, leading the fifth-seeded Bulldogs (5-8-2) over the fourth-seeded Saints in West Palm Beach. Berean advances to face top-seeded Trinity Christian on Thursday.

Jupiter Christian 3, Lake Worth Christian 0: Austin Bennett had two goals and an assist and Lawson Lindsey added a goal to lead the second-seeded Eagles (8-9) over the seventh-seeded Defenders in Jupiter. Tyler Player had four saves for the Eagles, who will play Pine School at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Pine School 9, Glades Day 1: Dalton White had two goals and two assists and Nate Romero added two goals to lead the third-seeded Knights (10-11-1) to the rout of the sixth-seeded Gators in Stuart.
