Boys basketball: Summit Christian upsets No. 2 Palm Beach Lakes at D-Hop

Shane Phillips and Richard Gaetano each scored 17 points, leading Summit Christian to a 60-59 upset of second-ranked Palm Beach Lakes in a D-Hop Holiday Tournament semifinal Friday.
Josue Levy added 10 points for the Saints, who will face Pompano Beach-Ely in the championship game at 7:30 tonight.
J.D. Coleman scored 12 points and Gito St. Fort added 11 for the Rams (9-1), who will face Wellington at 6 tonight in the third-place game.
No. 1 Grandview Prep 49, Hughes (Ohio) 44: Ivan Canete had 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists and Eric Mance also scored 15 points, leading the Pride (10-0) to the victory at the All Florida Paper Holiday Shootout in Miami. Grandview will face Miami-Gulliver Prep in the championship at 6 tonight. Late Thursday, Canete scored 28 points and Eric Mance added 16, leading the Pride to a 66-53 win over Miami Northwestern.
No. 5 Jupiter 55, Spartanburg (S.C.) 52: Mike Edgley scored 17 points as the Warriors (8-3) beat the host school at the Upward Classic Tournament. Jupiter will face Daniel (S.C.) in the fifth-place game at 2:30 p.m.
No. 6 Atlantic 58, Miami-Calusa Prep 42: Jamal Palmer scored 21 points, leading the Eagles (9-3) over the Colts at the Adidas Holiday Slam in Miami. Atlantic will play in the championship game at 8 p.m.
Pompano Beach-Ely 66, No. 8 Wellington 58 (OT): Stephon Gordon scored 18 points and Dondre Duffus added 14 points, but the Wolverines (11-2) fell to the Tigers at the D-Hop Holiday Tournament.
No. 9 Suncoast 63, Miami-Dr. Krop 54: LaTarence Butts scored 14 points and Channing Gaspard added 10 as the Chargers (9-4) defeated the Lightning at the Adidas Holiday Slam in Miami. Late Thursday, Charles Washington, Coby Sledge and Butts each scored 13 points, but the Chargers fell 80-68 to Orlando-Freedom. The Chargers face Treasure Coast at 12:30 p.m. today in the fifth-place game.
Deerfield Beach-Zion Lutheran 66, Jupiter Christian 54: Shane Black had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Chandler Dry added 14 points, but the Eagles (2-8) fell to the Lions at the Jupiter Christian Holiday Basketball Classic. The Eagles play Sheridan Hills at 1 p.m. in today's consolation game.
Sebastian River 65, Centennial 54 (2 OTs): Jamal Burrows scored 21 points and Ellis Butler added 16, but the Eagles fell to the Sharks (6-2) at the Jupiter Christian Holiday Basketball Classic.
Spanish River 55, Hollywood-Sheridan Hills 34: Andrew Lewis scored nine points and Brandon Kenmerer added eight as the Sharks (6-3) rolled to the win at the Jupiter Christian Holiday Basketball Classic.
Jensen Beach 92, Lincoln Park Academy 73: Willie Battistini scored 46 points and David Thompson added 17 as the Falcons (10-2) routed the Greyhounds at the Jupiter Christian Holiday Basketball Classic. The Falcons will face Sebastian River in the championship at 7 p.m.
Miami-Gulliver Prep 74, Boca Raton 56: Tyrique Young scored 13 points and Larry Dore added 11, but the Bobcats (5-4) fell to the Raiders at the All Florida Paper Holiday Shootout in Miami.
Park Vista 55, Sanford-Seminole 52: Christian Brown scored 12 points and Yephnick Adelphonse added 11 as the Cobras (8-4) held off the Seminoles at the Arrow Force Classic in Sanford. Park Vista will play Apopka in the championship game at 5:30 p.m.
King's Academy 69, Jacksonville-Harvest Community 55: Ross Perry scored 24 points as the Lions won at the Father Lopez Holiday Tournament in Daytona Beach.
Naples Community 68, Palm Beach Gardens 57: Nick Horvath scored 14 points, but the Gators (1-10) fell to the Golden Eagles at the Holiday Madness Tournament in Lehigh Acres. The Gators will play in the seventh-place game at 3:30 p.m. today.
American Heritage 57, Lake Worth Christian 50: A.J. Garson scored 21 points as the Stallions (6-5) beat the Defenders in The Rock Holiday Classic in Pompano Beach. The Defenders will face Palm Beach Central in the fifth-place game at 2:30 p.m. today.
Palm Beach Central 81, Hudson 54: Javierre Betts scored 24 points, leading the Broncos (5-6) to the rout at The Rock Holiday Classic.
Santaluces 56, Fort Lauderdale-Boyd Anderson 47: Darrell Langham had 12 points and eight rebounds and Cajimmy Telusme and Adam Ziomek each added 10 points as the Chiefs (3-9) defeated the Cobras at the Don Wallen Holiday Tournament in Stuart. Santaluces will play Miami Springs at 3 p.m. today in the consolation game.
New Smyrna Beach 55, Village Academy 54: Keion Tyson made six three-pointers and scored 23 points and Tre'Quan Smith added 11 points and 14 rebounds, but the Tigers (10-2) fell to the Barracudas at the Gus Gibbs Holiday Classic in DeLand. The Tigers will play in the third-place game at 6 tonight.
