FOOTBALL
All-star game canceled: The Broward-Beach Bowl, the private-school postseason all-star game between Broward and Palm Beach Counties, has been canceled. Joe Tinsley, the game's organizer, cited a lack of sponsorship and interest from area coaches. He said he would try again next year. This would have been the game's ninth year.
"The past few years, sponsorship has been hard to come by," Tinsley said.
