Basketball: Royal Palm Beach boys improve to 2-0

Jo Jo Williams had seven points and 10 rebounds, helping Royal Palm Beach to a 41-23 rout of Seminole Ridge in a boys basketball matchup Friday night.

Iven Rosier added five points and six assists for the Wildcats (2-0).

Jupiter 62, Palm Beach Central 41: Mike Edgley had 18 points and Grant Pelchen added 14 as the Warriors (1-1) routed the Broncos (1-2) in Jupiter.

Suncoast 70, Inlet Grove 30: Santigie Fornah scored 19 points and LaTarence Butts added 13 to lead the Chargers (4-0) to the rout of the Hurricanes in Riviera Beach.

Spanish River 69, Olympic Heights 50: Jeffrey Dezmezyer scored 16 points and Brandon Kenmerer chipped in 14 as the Sharks (2-1) defeated the host Lions (0-5) in Boca Raton. Jordan Coblin scored 20 points for Heights.

Pahokee 49, John I. Leonard 46: Jaleek Mitchell had 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Blue Devils (2-1) past the Lancers in Pahokee.

Atlantic 76, Boca Raton 64: Thomas Owens scored 19 points and Jamal Palmer added 16 points and seven rebounds as the Eagles (3-1) defeated the Bobcats in Delray Beach.

St. Andrew's 53, Davie-Western 43: Asil Kalkavan had 21 points and eight rebounds and Sean Mooney added six points and five assists as the Scots (2-1) routed the Wildcats (5-1) in Davie.

Summit Christian 60, Trinity Christian 19: K'Von Humphrey scored six points, but the Warriors (0-4) fell to the Saints in Lake Worth.

FAU High 48, Wellington Christian 39: Shelden Scott scored 16 points and Howard Retz added 11 to lead the Owls (1-2) past the Eagles (1-4) in Wellington. Justin Hunter paced the Eagles with 20 points.

Vero Beach-St. Edward's 67, Benjamin 54: Austin Rosenthal had nine points and four assists, but the Buccaneers (3-2) fell to the Pirates in Vero Beach.

Berean Christian 59, Lake Worth Christian 57: David Stevens scored 16 points and and Charles Howell added 13 to help the Bulldogs (3-1) top the Defenders (1-1) in Boynton Beach.

Deerfield Beach-Zion Lutheran 79, Pope John Paul II 63: Kevin Johnston scored 31 points, but the Eagles (2-3) fell to the Lions in Boca Raton.

Coral Springs Charter 52, Boynton Beach 50: Michael Evans had 20 points and five rebounds and Donte Sylencieoux added six steals, but the Tigers (1-2) fell to the Panthers in Coral Springs.

Park Vista 83, West Boca Raton 67: Keith Dow scored 17 points and Christian Brown and Yephnick Adelphonse each added 13 as the Cobras (2-2) handled the Bulls in Lake Worth.

Village Academy 61, Forest Hill 45: Tre'Quan Smith scored 17 points and Rurel Allen added 16 to lead the Tigers (4-0) over the Falcons in West Palm Beach.

GIRLS

No. 10 Trinity Christian 52, Summit Christian 29: Qeyocia Thomas and Alicia McCray each scored 18 points and Krishauna Williams added 12 to lead the Warriors (5-2) to the rout of the Saints in Lake Worth.

Park Vista 56, Spanish River 51: Kiara Meeks scored 27 points and Caitlin Hayes added 16 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Cobras (5-1) past the Sharks in Boca Raton.

Benjamin 55, Berean Christian 43: Riley Burke scored 28 points and Arden Petit added 13 to lead the Buccaneers (3-3) past the Bulldogs in Palm Beach Gardens.

St. Andrew's 54, Cardinal Newman 39: Allie Russo scored 22 points to lead the Scots (6-1) past the Crusaders in Boca Raton.

West Boca Raton 46, Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 22: Zaena Derice scored 21 points and Shaine Wottitz added 12 to lead the Bulls (2-5) to victory in Boca Raton.

Lake Worth Christian 47, Pompano Beach-Highlands Christian 36: Jessica Golden scored 18 points and Cheynne Robinson added 11 as the Defenders (3-3) stopped the Knights (3-3) in Lake Worth.

CORRECTION: The girls basketball roundup in Friday's Sports section included several errors. Katie Rienas and Carli Homish each play for Jupiter and Crystal Primm plays for Palm Beach Central. Also, the Jupiter player pictured was Sharonda Thomas.

Where is the Wellington score? They won by 15 over Santaluces and are 4-0. My cuz is on that team.

Wellington sucks, that's why there is no score....and nobody cares.
