Basketball: No. 5 Palm Beach Central girls rout No. 10 Palm Beach Gardens

Sophomore Crystal Primm had 19 points and six rebounds as fifth-ranked Palm Beach Central raced to a big halftime lead en route to a 57-26 victory over No. 10 Palm Beach Gardens in a girls basketball matchup Thursday night.

Kensha'Dra Smith added 11 points and four rebounds for the Broncos (6-3), who led 40-6 at halftime.

Brigitte Zavithsanos scord 11 points for Gardens.

No. 1 Dwyer 71, Wellington 28: Samantha Glodis scored 16 points and Keyanna Harris added 13 to lead the Panthers to the rout of the Wolverines (3-7) in Wellington. Brianna Sabbat had 14 points and 11 rebounds for Wellington.

No. 3 Grandview Prep 65, Oxbridge Academy 28: Neydja Petithomme had 29 points, nine steals, and five assists and Vionise Pierre-Louis added 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks to lead the Pride (10-1) to the rout of the Thunderwolves (5-5) in West Palm Beach.

No. 4 Lake Worth 44, West Boca Raton 33: Jonika Garvin had 14 points, six rebounds, and five steals and Storm Bureau added nine points and four steals to lead the Trojans (8-0) over the Bulls in Lake Worth.

John I. Leonard 56, No. 7 Park Vista 53: Joshelle Birch scored 27 points and Laterria Ingraham added 13 to lead the Lancers (7-6) over the Cobras in Boynton Beach. Emily Lochten had 21 points and eight rebounds for Vista.

Benjamin 62, Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 60: Riley Burke had 25 points and 16 rebounds and Hannah Labovick added 12 rebounds to help the Buccaneers (7-5) top the Panthers in Palm Beach Gardens. Burke hit two free throws with five seconds left to tie the game and Rachel Baucon stole the out-of-bounds pass and hit the game-winner at the buzzer.

Santaluces 54, Royal Palm Beach 41: Shamiah Manley scored 15 points and Crystal Ventura added 10, but the Wildcats (5-5) fell to the Chiefs in Royal Palm Beach.

Jupiter 53, Suncoast 32: Carli Homish scored 25 points to lead the Warriors over the Chargers (5-7) in Riviera Beach.

King's Academy 55, Jupiter Christian 50: Cat Urso scored 15 points and Shannon Burt added 14 to lead the Lions over the Eagles (0-7) in Jupiter. Lindsey Powers scored 30 points for Jupiter Christian.

Atlantic 71, Olympic Heights 51: Stephanie Kalen scored 26 points and Mandi Gaynor added 15, but the Lions (4-7) fell to the Eagles in Boca Raton.

Lincoln Park Academy 56, Inlet Grove 11: Brandy Montgomery had 18 points, eight assists, and seven steals and Taneria Wilson added 12 points and six steals as the Greyhounds (7-1) routed the Hurricanes in Fort Pierce.

Trinity Christian 52, Village Academy 49 (OT): Alicia McCray scored 31 points to help the Warriors hold off the Tigers (4-4) in Delray Beach.

Yeshiva 42, Pope John Paul II 22: Samantha Hagan scored six points, but the Eagles (3-7) fell to the Storm (7-3) in Boca Raton.

Boca Raton Christian 31, FAU High 7: Victoria Daglio had 10 points, five rebounds and nine steals and Amanda Lake added seven points and three rebounds to lead the Blazers (5-3) over the Owls in Boca Raton.

Jensen Beach 54, Treasure Coast 47: Ashley Robinson scored 20 points to lead the Falcons (8-2) past the Titans (9-2) in Port St. Lucie. Rosemaire Julien paced the Titans with 24 points.

did John I get some new girls? they were being blown out by these teams at the beginning of the season.

Lake Worth girls only team in top ten undefeated 8-0 and no headlines, no articles. Didn't even make the papers twice with all of the other girls basketball scores. Why such a bias?

@nolove I am confused also maybe they need some blowout wins. Because this paper does not consider a win a win.

Every team gets coverage once per year....the game you play against Dwyer. They are always covered. If you don't play Dwyer you probably wont get much love. Only so much space and after the daily Dwyer feature there's only room for blurbs for everyone else.

@nolove, your coach has to stay on top of getting the scores in. most sports, it's up to the home team, but many coaches call in every game
