With just two matches remaining in the regular season, the Boca Raton boys soccer team's pursuit of regular-season perfection was tested with the arrival of a familiar foe in American Heritage.

The Bobcats (18-0) rose to the challenge and soared to a 1-0 victory over the Stallions on Friday at Bobcat Stadium to keep their undefeated season intact.

Boca Raton is ranked No. 1 in The Post Top 10, No. 1 in the state and No. 1 in the country, according to Elite Soccer Report. They have been dominant this season, outscoring their opponents by a stunning 92-3.

David Adejumobi scored the lone goal of the match with just under 17 minutes remaining in the first half.

The Bobcats had a few scoring chances earlier in the half before they were able to get one past Stallions goalie Eduardo Urdanetta.

Late in the second half, the Stallions had several chances to tie the match, but missed on those opportunities, including a shot that looked to have gone in but went just wide left of the net on one of the final plays of the match.

Boca Raton also had several scoring chances but couldn't convert late in the half to add a cushion to their slim lead.

Goalkeeper Brian Kilgallon recorded his 15th shutout of the season for the Bobcats.

American Heritage (15-2-1) opened the season with an 11-game winning streak before Montverde Academy dealt them their first loss of the season back on Dec. 5.

The Bobcats will play Olympic Heights in Boca Raton in the regular-season finale on Jan. 17, before the playoffs get underway.
