Basketball: No. 10 Palm Beach Central tops Jupiter

Quiana Franklin scored 16 points, helping No. 10 Palm Beach Gardens to a 46-42 victory over Jupiter in a girls basketball matchup Monday night in Palm Beach Gardens.

Brigitte Zavithsanos added 15 points, four assists, and five steals for the Gators (5-5).

No. 4 Lake Worth 56, No. 9 Pahokee 42: Jonika Garvin had 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and Storm Bureau added 17 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and six steals to lead the Trojans (6-0) past the Blue Devils in Pahokee.

No. 5 Palm Beach Central 66, Wellington 22: Kensha'Dra Smith scored 18 points to lead the Broncos (5-3) to the rout of the Wolverines in Wellington.

No. 6 Palm Beach Lakes 62, Suncoast 37: Shanovia Dove had 18 points and five steals and Jackie Johnson added 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Rams (7-2) raced past the Chargers in Riviera Beach. Kianna Riviera contributed 10 points and three steals for the Rams.

No. 7 Park Vista 56, Atlantic 46: Emily Lochten had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Caitlin Hayes added 20 points and 14 rebounds as the Cobras (7-4) stopped the Eagles in Lake Worth.

No. 8 Boca Raton 70, Spanish River 35: Abby Bukovich scored 18 points and Gabby Daniels added 12 points and seven assists to lead the Bobcats (9-3) to the rout of the Sharks in Boca Raton.

John I. Leonard 61, Seminole Ridge 51: Aurelia Lebron scored 28 points to lead the Lancers (2-9) over the Hawks in Greenacres.

St. Andrew's 54, Benjamin 46: Allie Russo had 27 points and 10 steals and Blondelle Ngouchingy added 15 rebounds to lead the Scots (9-2) past the Buccaneers (5-5) in Palm Beach Gardens. Riley Burke scored 15 points and Arden Petit added 13 for Benjamin.

West Boca Raton 35, Olympic Heights 28: Zaena Derice had 11 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks and Alonna Terrell added nine points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bulls (4-7) past the Lions in Boca Raton.

Village Academy 50, Summit Christian 27: Chanzie Simmons scored 15 points to help the Tigers (5-4) roll over the Saints in Delray Beach.

Oxbridge Academy 57, Boca Raton Christian 33: Nicole Dixon scored 26 points to lead the Thunderwolves over the Blazers (4-2) in Boca Raton.

Berean Christian 51, Jupiter Christian 35: Lindsey Powers had 14 points and three rebounds and Abagail Franklin added 11 points and four rebounds, but the Eagles (0-6) fell to the Bulldogs in Jupiter.

Okeechobee 75, South Fork 49: Carley McCoin scored 31 points to lead the Brahmans (5-3) to the rout of the Bulldogs in Okeechobee.

BOYS

No. 6 St. Andrew's 69, Village Academy 68: George Andino scored 26 points to lead the Scots (6-1) past the Tigers (7-1) in Boca Raton. Jake Bargas, who finished with 10 points, hit the game-winning shot for the Scots with 20 seconds remaining. Kein Tyson scored 17 points to lead Village.

Cardinal Newman 55, Seminole Ridge 45: Andrew Owers had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Crusaders (3-4) past the Hawks in Loxahatchee.

Boca Raton Christan 64, Trinity Christian 22: R.J. Walsh scored 20 points to lead the Blazers (5-2) to the rout of the Warriors in Boca Raton.

Berean Christian 64, Jupiter Christian 58: Austin Skelton scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs (7-1) past the Eagles (1-3) in Jupiter.

Wellington Christian 51, Community Christian 49: Justin Hunter scored 34 points and Anthony Hansen added 10 rebounds as the Eagles (3-5) edged the Cougars (2-5) in Stuart.
