Basketball: Kiandra Bowers leads No. 1 Dwyer to 65-54 win over No. 6 Palm Beach Central

Kiandra Bowers had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead top-ranked Dwyer to a 65-54 win over No. 6 Palm Beach Central in a girls basketball game Monday night in Wellington.
The Panthers (16-4) only led 27-24 at the half but picked up their defensive effort to pull away in the third quarter from the Broncos (11-10).
"We employed a 3-2 defense to help neutralize the Broncos' outside shooting, and Bowers really set the tone for us on both ends of the floor, especially in the second half," Panthers coach Jeryl Akins said.
No. 2 Lake Worth 61, West Boca Raton 25: Jonika Garvin recorded 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trojans (16-0) past the Bulls (5-15) in Boca Raton.
No. 5 Palm Beach Lakes 73, Santaluces 13: Shanovia Dove had 17 points, six steals and four assists and Jackie Johnson added 16 points as the Rams (11-7) defeated the Chiefs in West Palm Beach. Jermeisha Derrick added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Rams. Kimberly Vicente had seven points for the Chiefs.
No. 7 Boca Raton 64, Seminole Ridge 48: Kaitlin O'Hara and Kennice Rodney each had 14 points, but the Hawks (11-10) fell to the Bobcats in Loxahatchee.
No. 9 Jupiter 46, Wellington 33: Katie Rienas scored 21 points to lead the Warriors past the Wolverines (6-12) in Wellington. Brianna Sabbat paced Wellington with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Pahokee 59, King's Academy 57: Malaysia Robinson scored 17 points to lead the Blue Devils past the Lions (11-9) in Pahokee. The Lions were down 14 points after the first half but mounted a comeback in the second half, sending the game into overtime on Cat Urso's 3-pointer at the buzzer. In overtime, Moeisha Jackson scored four of her eight points to lift the Blue Devils to the victory. Urso paced the Lions with 18 points.
Jupiter Christian 50, Fort Lauderdale-North Broward Prep 31: Lindsey Powers had 32 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Eagles (1-11) to the rout of North Broward Prep in Fort Lauderdale.
Summit Christian 47, Pope John Paul II 29: Rebecca George had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Victoria Locke added 16 points, five assists and four steals as the Saints (5-5) defeated the Eagles in Boca Raton.
Cardinal Newman 53, Oxbridge Academy 30: Andrea Alvarez scored 12 points and Tytionia Adderly grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Crusaders (9-8) past the Thunderwolves (13-7) in West Palm Beach.
Sebring 50, Okeechobee 30: Ami Edwards had eight points and nine rebounds, but the Brahmans (8-9) fell to the Blue Streaks in Sebring.
Morningside Academy 59, Glades Day 23: Victoria Crawford scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Eagles (9-4) beat the Gators in Port St. Lucie.
Park Vista 58, Spanish River 42: Emily Lochten recorded 24 points and 14 rebounds and Caitlin Hayes added 18 rebounds to lead the Cobras (11-8) past the Sharks in Boynton Beach.
Lincoln Park Academy 83, Clewiston 34: Brandy Montgomery had 14 points, seven rebounds and six steals and Taneria Wilson added 16 points, seven assists and seven steals as the Greyhounds (14-3) routed the Tigers in Clewiston.
No. 10 Suncoast 56, Jensen Beach 54: Jonathan Odjo made a game-winning 3-pointer as the Chargers (15-3) beat the Falcones (11-6) in Riviera Beach. Christoff Narirn scored 12 points for Suncoast.
Jupiter Christian 68, Pompano Beach-Highlands Christian 56: Alex Burns had 33 points and 10 rebounds and Chandler Dry added 18 points as the Eagles (4-10) beat Highlands Christian in Pompano Beach.
Boynton Beach 62, Fort Pierce Westwood 40: Michael Evans had 19 points and Jermaine Joseph added 15 as the Tigers (4-10) routed the Panthers in Boynton Beach. Kory Brown added 12 rebounds for the Tigers.
Pope John Paull II 51, Trinity Christian 36: William Jeanlys scored 12 points as the Eagles beat the Warriors (1-15) in Lake Worth. Kay-Von Humphrey had 16 points in the loss.
