Eddie Sullivan's passing powers Boca past West Boca 21-7

BOCA RATON Eddie Sullivan passed for 293 yards and two touchdowns to lead Boca Raton past visiting West Boca Raton 21-7 in Keith Byars' debut as the Bobcats' coach.
Boca Raton's defense also had a stellar outing, limiting the Bulls to 65 yards in the first half and 164 yards and eight first downs overall.
Antarious Walters intercepted two passes in the fourth quarter and also added a 4-yard touchdown run.
Anthony Darrisaw opened the scoring in the second quarter with a 49-yard catch-and-run off a screen pass. With 2:42 left in the half, Sullivan connected on a pass with Terrell Williams for a 40-yard score and a 14-0 lead.
Williams finished with five catches for 169 yards.
It was actually the Boca offense that cost the defense a shutout, when Paris Pound returned a fumble 66 yards for a touchdown with 1:02 remaining.
Sullivan completed 15 of 26 passes with one interception and had six completions of at least 26 yards.
West Boca Raton's Aspha Smart led all rushers with 102 yards.
The game, which was scheduled to start at 7 p.m., was delayed by lightning and started at 8:21 p.m. Yet the lights went out as scheduled at 10:30 p.m., and the final snap was at 11:09 p.m.
