Got this from the TKA twitter feed:
After being down 14 - 7 in the second quarter TKA scored 32 unanswered points to win 39 - 14. Brian Grove returned the opening kick off 91 yards for a TD. Ortiz kicked a 37 yd field goal. Bussey had three TD's of 10, 17, and 34 yards. Z. Lowe scored a TD on a 25 yard run. I'd say the offense got untracked in a big way tonight!
Wish the game looked as good as this last report. Tka got lucky to win that one. The offense really only has a running game, good thing that it is a spectacular one
I wasn't there, but it is hard to conclude that a team got lucky when the score 32 unanswered points. I guess we got lucky over and over and over again - I would just call that winning.
Next week is going to be tough. I live in Orlando and Bishop Moore is the toughest team on our schedule by far. We will have to play well to stay in the game much less have a chance to win. I hope I am wrong and we own them, but BM is the real deal.
We won be cased we were in way better shape then Clewiston. Our defense won the game by holding them, and the offense just took advantage of good field position.
None of what you said sounds like luck to me.
We are off to a good start; however, this Friday will be a huge test. I live in Orlando and I can tell you that Bishop Moore is by far the best private school program, year in and year out, in Central Florida. They are 3-0 against 2 3A schools and 1 4A school. They play 6A schools-at least those that will schedule them. I saw them play once last year and went to see them against Leesburg. They have a huge line, a solid passing game. Not a lot of speed-which could be our advantage. They also have a big stadium and it stays full of people. Very noisy with their band playing all the time.
Looking forward to the game!
