Especially after the 3 ejections in the 1st qtr against Glades Day in the Spring Game for fighting.
Looks like discipline is non-existant in the Gardens "Program".
Tim Tharp needs to come back and FIX this program!
Pay the guy whatever he wants and move forward.
I'm sure Coach Davis know football but this is just a bad fit.

Just so everyone knows... He is a 19 y/o Junior because he was in jail before-Davis still took him. Since he has been at Gardens he was arrested and detained for PAROLE violation- Davis still kept him. This assault of a high school kid would of never happened if this criminal was given his walkin papers after he blew his 2nd chance!! Coach- sometimes its not all about you and wins. The safety of the "other" students should be considered

As a former Gardens coach, I can appreciate the sentiment to bring back Tim Tharp. That is not going to happen. However I was part of a Gardens staff in 2007 that suspended 3 of our best players, the Tuesday before our 1st round playoff game. A game we lost 12-10. That was not Tim Tharp that was Kevin Fleury.

It seems Gardens last TWO coaches had there priorities in order. This one is blind without a cane. And the results ON and OFF the field speak for themselves. It is one thing to lose a football game, but this goes beyond the scoreboard. This is a complete disgrace.

I hope Tyree straightens out his life. The bottom line is though, he would have been ineligible for the fall season because it would have been his 5th year of high school. It's a running clock from the time you enroll in 9th grade. You have 4 years to play 4 years. Period. There are very few exceptions. Like the kid has to have been in a coma in order to be given another year.

Tyree aka popeye was a great person, simple mistakes and bad decisions shouldn't give him a image of a thug or a "hood rat" Boys will be boys, and most people dont know the true story of his sexual assault charges, apparently the girl let it happen and there was a witness. Also being on the team currently and going onto my last year. Tyree was a great guy who showed leadership and always worked hard. As I said before, simple mistakes shouldn't come with judgement when you really dont know somebody. Popeye had great potential and a simple mistake ruined it. James Jones and Dion Shep hmm sound fimilar? All good people who just made poor decisions, also incredible athletes. Free popeye ...

This young man was on probation for the very same thing. Yes I agree, one time might be a mistake, twice, he is a deviant and belongs were he is still at, JAIL.

    And he will stay said:

Don't worry he will be incarcerated for the next 5-7 years, and after that, a registered sex offender for 75 years. He's a real good kid, UN-freaking believable.

Dont be fooled, thats hippocritical, if you agreed with one mistake is a bad decision but two he is a deviant? If you haven't been paying attention to the case, a witness testified and said he was innocent, I know the witness, hes one of our players ... I dont see how everyone can say how bad of a kid he is about this case when hes innocent lol ... its pathetic

    Trial said:

And if this "so called' witness is credible and the jury believes the witness then Popeye can eat his spinach. If not, see ya.

Till then, the State Attorney has not dropped the charges on this "so called" witness statement, can't be that exculpatory.
