Someone said all their best players left
Hope you are happy Dr. Coleman. You got what you wanted without taking the blame. A once proud and winning athletic program has been dismantled under your watch, in less than a year! Good luck with making payroll. There's going to be a mass exodus. Bravo!
Did Coach Powers get fired or something? If not what else has changed with football/
" a once proud program"
You had 5 good years when the flood gates were open
Now you can play like 95% of the other 2A teams
Acually 7 years, more wins than any other program on PBC as well as the longest winning streak. Great run but unfortunetly it's over.
Basically, they got taken over by Christ Fellowship Church........They have at least three men on the BOD.....The admissions director is the wife of one of the BODs......and basically the mission statement changes over night.
CFC has put several million dollars into that schools future and they are running the show now.
Instead of ministering to the kids that need it, they only want kids that will be good. Whatever that means? Cause as far as I remember it was always the preachers kid who was the crazy one.
I still don't know what is going on. Did something happen? Did kids leave?
Yes a whole bunch. Some of those families were BIG time supporters of the school and have had multiple kids enrolled in the past and / or currently.
I think Powers and Davis are the only ones left from the Pre States days.
What a shame. There are educators there that have been there for 20 plus years, who served the kids and had received the blessings of the good works they had done over the years. I would bet they are not comfortable with the changes.
Time will tell if this is a good thing or the kiss of death.
It really saddens me to c the football team that Coach Powers & Coach Davis have built in the past 7 years be dismantled in a year under the influence of Dr.Coleman.
I'm sooooo happy my grandson did have the past 5 years,it was a great run for him !!!
Why post of what you do not know, or if you do, post facts! not gossip!. Hopefully someone with knowledge will inform the rest of us as to what is going on....
Matt? Jeff? any insight.
What the heck would Matt & Jeff know....... Some of you people make me laugh......The forum is much faster and honest than a politically correct sports reporter.
hey troll, YOU ARE KIDDING RIGHT! this is exactly what d'onte was referring to, everyone has posted something, but only their opinion of what was going on. and heck, if I post something it doesn't mean its true, so get out your little thinking cap and repost something that is more to the point. faster and honest..... pahahaha
Poor Jupiter Christian all those years recruiting players from as far north as South Fork to as far south as Royal Palm Beach and any where else. You reap what you sow
Well said PBC!!!!!!!
The issues go way beyond the athletic program . As far as loyalties , the composure of the school and the changes have forced many families to make the difficult choice of removing children and placing at another school . I understand this is a football blog , but I can tell you that the comments are slighted by only focusing on football . .. It has become very apparent that Dr Coleman and the BOD had a vision , if this was an error , actions woukd have been taken to change this . Congrats to Dr Coleman and his wrecking crew for dismantling a great school and reducing to fit inside the little bubble of " good kids " . Makes me sick to my stomach
Badly misinformed. He has had multiple meetings to address the concerns and stated clearly that 'mischievous kids can stay. They just cannot stay if their disruptions affected the teachers ability to teach.' The problem with that philosophy is....???
You are correct, this is not all about football. It is about improving the academics at JCS and giving our kids the best chance for future success,.
This is NOT about creating 'robots'.
Regarding the football side; what did Dr. Colman do to change ANYTHING?? Coach Powers: still there. Coach Davis: still there. 4 home games at Dwyer. Each of those cost money. The only reason I see it has come to this is unsubstantiated rumors, personal agendas and parents insanely coddling their kids.
Two sides to every story, and then the truth. There were definitely some disruptive and bad kids at jcs that had to go. Good luck Jupiter high administration! But that is not the entire story as to why many of the athletes left jcs. The groundwork was laid before colman arrived. Many of the top athletes played both football and lacrosse. The people running the athletic dept did not support lacrosse because their son is the baseball coach. Lacrosse coach finally had enough and word got out he was not returning. Almost every good 8th grade athlete left the school as a result. Thus started the mass exodus of almost every football player. Colman stated in a newspaper interview last august that there was too much emphasis on athletics at jcs. He is an arts and music man. As the year progressed you could see his lack of support for athletics. Rumblings started in the winter and spring. People made other plans. We do not coddle our kids. We consider athletics a major part of the education process. We want our kids at schools that support athletics. Colman made a very big error in judgment. When administration realized they had a problem, it was too late. As parents, all we heard were empty promises. Our kids are student athletes, not student piano players. Sad ending to a great run of education and athletics at jcs. Good luck to all that left and to all that remained.
Lacrosse did at times seem to be shortchanged. Field availability is always a JCS issue. But the coach made his own decision and I do not feel it was fully due to lack of admin support. He saw all the graduates, saw the gap between them and the younger kids, and did not feel the need to continue growing the program while maybe having to take a step back with varsity to do so. He inherited a lot of the talent, saw it graduate and decided to move on.
Sad ending to a great run of education and athletics at jcs? Hardly. We will be fine, but thanks for your concern.
Please explain the comment "it was the Preacher's son who is crazy". What exactly does that mean and what are the facts to back that up. Also, are you implying he was allowed to stay in the school, simply for the fact that he is the preacher's son. Is this one that is around 16 right now? Does the child have a known handicap that the teachers are aware of and have agreed to help him with? There is a huge difference between a child with ESE diagnosis and a kid who is just defiant, and unruly because they think it is funny to disrupt. But if the ESE kid is so disruptive that the class is held back and it becomes a huge distraction for kids and teachers, that is unfair also.
The only transfer that will start this year is Cannon. All the rest will sit the bench so I don't understand why.
My use of the word "crazy" was a simile used to describe the behavioral habits of kids who are raised in an ultra conservative Christian household, and later on rebel against it by behaving in ways that are generally more extreme than the normal youthful exuberance of adolescence.
What are you talking about?
The kids not only left for football but they actually want to go to a school with more than 200 people total. They want to be able to see all of their friends, not just the 5 of them they know at JCS.
I was under the impression that the preacher'S son had a disability......thanks for clearing that up.
I can't imagine some 120 students leaving the school ..about 60 going to JHS can all be wrong ..I don't think this is a knee jerk ..over reacting action . Coleman sent out a beautiful letter and e mail to parents ..obviously he has seen the damage of his vision and direction he wanted to take this school . Damage control too late . It is sad that such a great school wil have to rebuild from here . They will be fine ..just a set back that as a parent you can't stick it out for ..the school has a lifetime ..students Only have a moment in time .
Here's your test. Ask individuals what they think of
hOw the football program is run. . Then ask them how
They think the school is run. Then use those answers to
Determine the reason why students have left. And do that
Before you accept the answer that kids left because they didn't
Want to be
Part of a rebuilding year.
This many kids leave a school it's a failure of leadership. And when that leader blames others, you don't have someone who can become a leader.
This school had amazing momentum and with the success of its football team , lacrosse team , great teachers , great principles ...leaders like Leslie downs, Rachel sanders and Tim holland ..all of them let go ..the only reason " rebuilding " is going on is that " tearing down " occurred ..kinda like buying a house and bulldozing it to rebuild another One . I think it will take more then a year to rebuild . What amazes me the most is how many families with long histories of attendance when they informed the school they were leaving , the school seemed like they didn't care and zero attempt was made to retain them .
@talk is on the money. There is so much arrogance at that school. Its a "take us or leave us" attitude! Not a care or concern that anyone left. It took Powers 8 yrs to build a program recognized by coaches all around the country, and only 1 year for Coleman and the board to tear it down. Are there any teachers, coaches or board members that have enough integrity to speak up and speak out? Shame on you for allowing this to happen. :(
This whole thing makes no sense.... Sad...
It's old news.
They are gone, and except for a few, easily forgotten.
This group of kids will be just fine.
one more athlete just left for jupiter the other day...leaving one by one
Move on you don't have a clue. You lost good kids and good families. Families that agonized over their decision to leave. Once again, administration at jcs did not, and does not have a clue about student athletes. When colman showed he did not care about athletics, good families had no choice but transfer to other schools. Then, with all the people that left, there was no $$ left for financial aid, so other families that have received assistance over the years could not afford to stay. The school will suffer for years as a result of decisions, and worse, just not paying attention to what student athletes desire.
Sounds like the voice of the school or someone who pretends to be. Sad thing it either represents arrogance or denial. Probably both.
Many people / families went to JCS not because of the great program, not to receive a solid Christian education, and not because of academic opportunities.
They went there because the option of sending their kids to JHS to play under coach Pierson was not an option.
With Pierson gone, people are going to look to put some money back in their households.
That is EXACTLY the attitude of the school ..my guess move on is on of the BOD members or a staunch supporter of such .. The arrogant attitude and not caring about families leaving and saying that "they will soon be forgotten "is probably one of the most " un Christian "things you can say...
The result is that the program has completely fallen of the radar screen. No beginning season coverage, not a mention in the media, and kickoff classic, if still having one, not even listed in the Post schedule of games.
Coach Powers has done a fantastic job. The Eagles will fly again.
There were at least a dozen Pop Warner kids that followed Powers.
Most disciplined, i cant agree with.
Your other facts seem reasonable.
What 9 players are in D1?
JCS is a nightmare for anyone who wants an education
I figured babies were being thrown out with the bathwater. Makes sense now.
Well, today was the 1st day of school at JCS and all is well. Enrollment is down about 40 students in the high school but up in elementry. Everyone is here because they want to be here. Anyone who picks a school for athletic reasons needs to have their head examined. Other than football, travel programs are your pathway to college scholarships not high school. In football if your good enough, they will find you no matter where you play.
To the players who left, most won't see the field at their new school.
This dead horse hase been beaten long enough. Time to move on
are you one one of the teachers that drank the cool-aide? or are you a parent of one of the players that would not have seen the field had it not been for the other 10 players that left.
You say "close this thread" well, walk away then, just walk away.
How many middle schoolers left? How many chose not to attend JCS for high school? That is the real indicator.
A middle school kid still has time ..a high school kids clock is running . Decisions based on info at hand . Trust me ..I wish we didn't have to leave JCS ...I pray for the school and leaders . We will all know if we made the right choices or not . Best coaching around with powers ..worst leadership school has had .
Most people speak highly of the football program. The problem is that it won't return and sustain a level of excellence without belief that the school leadership supports it.
Today was dismal at JCS. Many more than anyone could have imagine have left. Enrollment is way way down at the 9-12 level. Sixth grade is always up until they have a few weeks to settle in and then they will be miserable there too. Its a miserable place , so many great kids have left there, but parents seem really happy about their decisions. What was horrible was made even worse by having to pay for it! It will get way worse, predicting it to all fall apart before years end , sports and otherwise as well. Good luck to them all. Its a disaster there and Coleman will deserve everything he gets.
I've said before.....Dr Coleman was hired by the the BOD to carry out this very process.
His background and reputation were well know before he came here. The school is under the close influence of Christ Fellowship Church. CFC wanted a Christian School to carry out their mission and they bought themselves one.
yep, and that mission is about evangelism first and second. Don't be fooled by anything else. If that is the single most important priority for your kid's high school experience, the school will be a good fit.
I dont have any affiliation with JCS but When Coleman was hired, the one family i know who's children attend, called this exact scenario. This was months if not a year ago. Is the BOD so stacked that nothing could be done?
with powers kids gone, the program is done. it was all built by him around them, and they are gone. It is all down hill
correction jcsdone, the most athletic of the powers has yet to graduate...rude! :)
He has a kid with 2 years left in high school.....would'nt make sense to pull out now.
How many kids is JCS have on their varsity roster? I know they were down around 15-20 did any more come out?
Does Christ Fellowship own JCS now? Who governs the rules of JCS? Please let me know. I've heard of several horror stories, maybe true, of discrimination towards students and families at JCS. Isn't this a Christian school?
Go home you ambulance chaser!
Every one claims to be Christian.........Is JCS???? Depends on who you ask.
just so you know jcs won 40-7 tonight. So you can all shut up now.
just so you know jcs won 40-7 tonight. So you can all shut up now.
just so you know jcs won 40-7 tonight. So you can all shut up now.
Ok so jcs doesn't have the biggest/oldest team... But I bet u that they are working 5xs as hard as any other team out there
masters academy? ok JCS u won, how will u do against a better opponent?
Great way to start, with all the turmoil.
Is this Masters first year?
What Master's must be like. :\
This will be Master's Academy's first FULL season they played just 3 regular season games last year
Don't count JCS out! They may be a young team but they can all play and they have the heart to do some great thingz
Keep living in your cinderella world.
Congratulations JCS, not too bad for a young Team. Coach Powers is once again proving why he is a great coach (doing a lot with a little).
Look forward to watching them in the future whether they win or lose.
Coach Powers is a great coach and he will do some great things. This team will shock a lot of people, including you
I hope Coleman and the BOD are happy
Not knocking Summit but losing to them is embarrassing.
hahahaha......summit christian?????????? cannot believe this program has sunken to the level that it can't beat Summit. was this summit's first win in 3 yrs?
powers is a good coach but very little respect from me with all the recruiting they did over the years to accomplish what they did.
It's gonna be a long season with jv and freshman team playing varsity games
Every player that has transfered is seeing the field or starting..jcs i going to be 2-8. Yes a down year but with future D-1 QB Justin Karelson the school will be getting looks from Bama, FAU, and Lsu in no time. Kids gonna be better than kedric, he will be a super star.
Them Christian boys be ROLLLLLIN!!!!!!! 1.3s that is......
Maybe he wont be attracting looks from Bama and LSU right away. But they will come. He will be a four year varsity starter and will throw for over 1000yds this season. Hes a true freshman too! I say he gets a offer by the time spring rolls around.
Man, I hope you're not an actual parent. If so, the dream world you're living in has got to be a nightmare for the kid.
LOL..every pass he threw last night was 5 yards short of his recivers. He has no athletic ability and wont go any where but D3 at the most. LOL
Not even proven yet for D3. Takes athletic talent to play at that level, as well.
BAMA LSU AND FAU in the same recruiting pool ??
Has anyone from JCS ever gone on to play for a BCS eligible team?
Lay off the kid, he's a freshman. He got thrown into the fire and he's doing the nest he can.no one is looking at him or any other freshman qb in PBC as a D1 qb right now.
If you don't like it, don't come in here. JCS Parent was the one making a ridiculous comment about a freshman and the comments were directed at him. No one needs your equally ridiculous refereeing.
You can't be that stupid are you??? It's someone taking shots at the kid and his parents. He's 14 years old loser. Get a life and leave the kid alone
You all better stop arguing and start preparing for the Hawks....
Yea, maybe the Move Along Guy needs to find out a way to keep his players wanting to attend the school.
Starting freshman QB, Starting freshman RB, Starting freshman WR, Starting Freshman Defensive Lineman and Starting freshman Safety. Only one senior. They have either lead or been tied at half time in every game except two this year. Good life lessons have also been learned for those who quit. This year shows how talented Powers and his coaching staff are and how much heart and talent is in these young kids who stayed. Powers test will be next year. How he handles these young kids who fought this tough battle with him will be difficult when some of these kids who quit come back. These kids coming back are coming back to take there jobs back and these kids who stayed are not going to be happy because they want to play and now believe they can win with or without these kids next year. It will be tough but Powers was built to handle this like he did this season.
BILL POWERS IS A WINNER...END OF STORY..ONE OF THE BEST COACHES IN THE AREA...Team is in a rebuilding stage everyone knows that... watch out next year and NO i do not see powers taking his team out of the FHSAA...he has too much pride to go into the league of fallen losers!!!!
Who is coming back?
This team has a bright future next year especially with many of the kids who left, coming back. They are losing only one senior and with Justin Karlsen maturing the future is looking great. Coach Powers has been humbled by this down year, but next year the JCS eagles will be back! Great contributions from most of the kids on the team last night, especially Jordan Player leading the team with around 300 total offensive yards and 4 touchdowns. Go Eagles!
Hafta to agree, Powers is a proven Coach along with his staff, Glad I'm still at Dwyer, cause if he were to coach at a public school, there is no telling how great he will be. Proud of ya little team, y'all play with heart and thats the message he be telling you.
So all y'all haters lay off the little team
i would not be surprised if some of the kids that left to go to Jupiter go back.......They are getting their hats handed to them in 8A and 7A ball......Its alot more fun to play in 2A ball.....GO EAGLES!!!
2a ball is more fun because they play sorry teams. If they were smart they'd stay where they are. Where they might acually get looks
Yeah, Good advice. Stay where you are it's been working out great for all the other players for years. LOL
Nobody is looking at JHS, unless your 315lbs
Not all there kids went to jupiter. 2a ball is great for kids who dont want competion. I try to talk my son from going to JCS everyday and he insist this is what he wants to do. #54 is my son of course. And how can you say it has not been working out great for other players? JCS has never had a D1 player in the history they've had offers but all went to different schools.
Acutally Dad, JCS has more players playing D1 football than jupiter has wins in the last 4 or 5 years. They also have had 3 Lou Grozza semi finalist as the top player in Palm Beach County and dozens more JCS players have played in all star games after the season than JHS players. JCS has played 5A 6A 7A and 8A teams over the past 5 years a beaten most of them. American Heritage is 3A, are they not competition. Jupiter High School football is a MESS. Had your son chose JCS over Jupiter 4 years ago maybe he would have got some of that recognition.
Has JCS every had a player go to a BCS D 1 school?
Not being a wise a** just asking
Lombardo signed Arkansas State, went for a spring but transfered to Wagner the following fall. Bostic had an offer from UCF, Rothman had one from the Air Force Academy and Powers had one from Navy but all chose 1AA opportunities.
So the answer is no
Makes their success even more impressive because they've played a beat a ton of BCS players over the years
They suck...they went 3-7 with the easiest schedule in PBC. I feel bad for there oe good player, Jordan Player. He needs to transfer to Newman or Jupiter. Dow aht you have to do to get out of there..ASAP!
How does that make any sense
Beating BCS players?
Here is the fact
Powers was a great youth coach and brought those players from Jupiter to have some success, then others followed, the doors were wide open.
Old school Jupiter Christians didnt like the element that these players brought in, so they cut off the pipeline
Powers and the O coord did a great job with great players but without the open door admin support you can't compete on the state level
Jcs is gonna be real next year....
And they still don't have a band or decent fine arts program. That's what they sacrificed athletics to get. Geez, they haven't even been able to hire a high school principal. Great plan.
Let's all pray....
JCS for states next year!! Joke another 1-9 season..
When was the last time they had a 1-9 season^??? So by saying "another" it really contradicts your statement because last time they had a 1-9 season was atleast a decade ago. You may have made a mistake and were trying to put this on a jupiter forum.
JCS would go 0-10 with jupiter's schedule and jupiter would have gone 8-2 with JCS's schedule. Talent wise JCS will never compare. Jcs had a good run for a small school. But it's gone and will NEVER be back. JCS is done..For Good..Get over it..
This past year was the year JHS should have finally agreed to play JCS. For the decade prior to this season JHS couldn't have stayed within 3 TDs of JCS. Both JCS and JHS knew it, too. That's why JHS would never answer the call made each year to play.
Of course, your right. Thats the past. Now JCS would not come within 35 points of JHS..They had a 6 year run its over. Powers did what he wanted to do, get his son into a ivy league school. Congrats your selfish self did that..He doesn't care about anyone on the team accept for his sons. Since there gone he's gone mentally. Only there coaching physically so he doesn't seem like the jerk he is.
With the accomplishments of JCS coaches versus the lack of such of the JHS coaches, it'll be a short span before JCS is back in a position where JHS wants no part of playing them.
Let's face it, though, it is jhs we're talking about. They've not been a measuring stick of any school by beating them.
Anyone who knows Coach Powers knows that what That's the past said is nothing but the truth. He truly cares for all the boys who have played for him
You could see it last year, and it really showed this year. Powers heart jus is not in the game of football anymore..B/c his kids are gone he does not care. HE's done coachng now.
Maybe you're on to something. That would explain the 3-7 record this year. Why.would he be coaching these all star games though? They're a lot of work with no pay. Maybe for his ego
maybe his heart is not in it because the admin. chased away all his players.
maybe his heart is not in it because its shame full to put 135 lb freshman at fullback, or play a kid at QB who last year was playing pop warner and weighs 130, or a tight end that weighs 120 lbs.
maybe his heart is not in it because he does not really have hope.
Jcs is looking promising next season.. The amount of potential is limitless. Wish I could say the same for Jhs. Dwyer also looks good this season, as well as palm beach gardens.
Nice back to Old school JCS
BRING EM IN
Those kids are decent players but not good enough for 7A or 8A. They will help a little 3A school since you can be smaller, slower and weaker to play there. None of those guys would even get a second look at Dwyer.
Too bad there is no Middle School Football in PB County. Those kids could all go back and play MS football and be stars. It's the Mustang way.
Maybe that is what they are doing.
You sound like a great young man! I am guessing that Coach Powers has touched your life while playing for the mustangs maybe......Coach Powers is a Great Coach and he really believes in his team....
Sounds you are a dedicated Eagle and has his convictions. Just wondering how that last line fits in with the HIGH morals you good Christians practice daily.
Truth is JCS has become a safe haven for rich kids to have a coddled high school experience. (IE sports for all)
Truth is many of the kids who are going back and forth are being taught to quit and to lay blame on someone else's door step. These are the same kids that left because they did not want to be on a loosing team....These are the same kids that left because the schoolmaster did not support the program..
I have my ear to the ground, and I dont think much has changed in regards to the way the school is going to administer their policies.....
It will be interesting to see if any of these kids are let back after all the trash talking they and their families did at JCS.
One thing I know for sure......Bill Powers is the Head football coach and not the Admissions director.
Let the JCS vs JHS mud slinging continue.
If the football coach isnt the admissions director it will be a long time, if ever , to return to state.
The difference between Jcs and other schools, like Cardinal Newman, Jhs, Dwyer. Jcs doesn't need a tyler cameron to win a couple ball games, Jcs doesn't need a Malik Brown, or travis rudolph, or all these amazing athletes to still win. Of course it would be nice to have those players, anybody would agree to that. But at the end of the day, there is only one Tyler cameron, only one Malik Brown etc.. When you have the ability to work with what you have, all the players that you have that are not 5 star athletes, That don't run 4.4 40's, that can't bench 400 lbs. When you can coach them up, and make them work together, and teach them perfect fundamentals and request nothing more but 100% effort, execution, and enthusiasm; That is a very special thing. Because at the end of the day, not only are you winning football games, having fun, Playing football. You're also building work ethic, Becoming a man, Not just with teammates, but with family. Your teammates become brothers at Jcs under that coaching, And you work your ass off for your family/teamates, because you know they are doing the same for you. You play every play as hard as you can to not let your team down. You learn responsibility and grow as a human being. Not only that but you have a better chance to win a state championship at Jcs then at all these 8A schools and I understand 8A etc, has better talent and its better competition and many people think anything below 4A is a joke. I've played both. I've Played at 8A, and 6A Schools , and i played at Jcs. And if it wasn't for Jcs i wouldn't be the athlete, or the man i am today. And if i didn't play at Jcs i probably wouldn't have had as many opportunities to play college ball as i did. Let me tell you something, about Coach powers and Coach Davis, all they do is dedicate their time to their players, and their players future. Look at Will Powers, He's playing a princeton along with Kedric Bostic.. Do you not understand how successful the rest of their lives are going to be, having a degree from Princeton.. Now i know not everybody has the grades, but their are so many more Opportunities for your future at Jcs then these other schools.. As far as College, Meeting the right people, Getting good grades, Staying focused, Building relationships that won't just be high school friends they'll be like family. I Cant think of a better school then Jcs. I played D1AA football and I can't explain how much Jcs did for me. And i know you guys are thinking its not the same football it was back when i played, it is. Same Coaching, Same Tradition, Just new players. And I've spoken with several players that are transferring to Jcs. I can promise you this. Jcs will be a contender next season.
There is no truth to what you just said, because I personally know each player that transferred and i am still in contact with all of them, and each one of them has told me they wish they stayed. And the ones that are coming back are happy to be coming back. There is only one as of right now that is staying at the school they are at, and he goes to martin county, and started as a sophmore, and martin county had a very good season and so did he. So i understand why he would stay, but he is the only one staying.
JCS has been a well below par school in everyway, that is until some opportunistic parents started a wrest, ing program, with good success the admin started letting in other athletes namely football. These athletes went there for sports cause the education was horrible.the education It got better because money flowed
in with the more students etc. The Princeton kids are Exceptional students and athletes but I think the coaches lobby and the post graduate move was prolific. The school is not for everyone, they need to find a balance.
To JCS alumni you did need some superior athletes mostly transfers to win at JCS. You only need a few 3 stars at 2A where at 8a you need a few 5*
What JCS alumni experienced was great for him and if HS sports were run for the students every football player should be able to share that experience.
Wish JCS happy 2013 but stay humble.
I hear the seniors next year are going just for the football season and then leaving at Xmas break next year.
LOL, who are the seniors you're hearing about?
I'm ALL for us getting help on our team. Nothing wrong with being competitive. Sorry if your kid doesn't see the field, tell him to work hard. Also we have the best coaches around. They coach up everyone on the team. Not just the talented ones.
Coach at JHS can't coach, that's why they are coming back.they are our family who made a wrong decision. It's time to forgive and move on.
Thankyou!!! These kids can be apart of something great and if all the administration is really Christian, they would realize these kids made a mistake and let them in.
I agree we are suppose to forgive and forget. Move on and remember most and for most these are kids. Christians we are. Let's move on and help kids.
Forgive and forget as long as you an play football.
What a joke!
Look at this thread of 4 months ago
This is an attempt of a few parents "recruiting" to circumvent the "powers" that be?
Who will win CFC or Pop Warner parents
Sorry Tammy you don't deserve the devil getting on your case. We
At JCS are praying for you Tammy. I know deep inside you is a nice
Person. God Bless
Easy district, lots of new transfers, good coaches=jcs for state champs next season!
The football coaches love their boys and I'm sure if the transfer kids want to come back to JCS next season..I'm sure the coaches will except them with open arms! JCS coaches are not just about coaching a winning team they are wonderful leaders for our boys! They teach them teamwork and hard work pays off! A very valuable lesson to learn not just on the field, but also the real world after high school...
Ever since season ended many of the players still continue to workout after school and still go to their other sports for practice..I call that dedication!
LETS GO EAGLES!!!!!!
I am pretty sure all this smack talk would never happen in a face to face conversation . Technology let's us hide behind the texts , e mails and blogs ...cyber space guts and courage we all get . Everyone will lay down the smack talk , give opinions and criticisms with all the conviction and expertise of an ESPN spokesperson . The truth of the matter is that no one is righteous enough to judge another persons actions and decisions .
Parents have made decisions that may not be correct and they have to live with those decisions . No one needs a forum of " arm chair , Monday morning quarterbacks " to judge those decisions . JCS has probably the best coaching of this area and the coaches truly care . The school itself is not perfect, but then again neither are we ... The school is run by people just like you and I and they make mistakes as we all do.
This blog has become really stale and has had no real meaningful conversations . Move on to bigger and better things.
Then why'd you bring the thread back to life, fool? This thread was dead for over 2 weeks, then you felt the need to pipe back in. You'd probably accomplish your task if you'd just quit commenting.
