So what, PV needs to shut up and show some clazz after this past season. No playoffs in a tough district, SHUT UP and focus on next year and maybe, just maybe, you can EARN some respect for next year. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

The PV line will be the best in the county next year. They have the best line coach in PBC and the smallest guy will be at least 6'3". With 2 senior tackles and some experienced juniors Tre Mason will run for 2000 yards. PV will have to replace their senior leader at center but that happens every year. The tackles are going D1 and the 3 sophmores coming behind them aren't far behind.

Tough district to talk that sure. Atlantic, Boca, Seminole Ridge, and Park Vista are all going to be good next year. PV does have a shot but my thinking is that Seminole Ridge will be the team to beat 6-A 8 next year with Atlantic bouncing back to take the runner up spot. Seminole Ridge has be improving every year and Atlantic has to many athletes to have a down year again. PV and Boca will not make it next year, sorry.

Ha Ha ha.....Didn't realize Taco Bell put computers in the break room for you to use during break time. As for the Truth...Boca is done. No QB and a coach that lucked into a great one. Atlantic will continue to falter and the Ridge will continue to overachieve as will PV. Lets pick up this thread in 5 years and see where those underachieving Atlantic boys are compared to the overacheivers at PV and the Ridge. Football is entertaining for now but without leaders like Dodds and Dickman where will the Atlantic boys be? Not trying to stir a nasty pot but aren't you concerned about your boys once they leave HS, don't want them all turning out like Ha Ha Ha Ha. Most Taco Bell managers aren't as easy going.

I have heard all your nonsense about PBCHS football and quite frankly I think your a big kitty and you live vicariously through this site to hear yourself bloviate. This site is about football and not about personal attacks, but I just could not resist. Gotta go, order up!

To: PB Football Fan, I have heard your foolish nonsense all season. I guess since you got a response you feel important now, but your not. To make fun of an individual and then to espouse your concern about our youth after football is disengenuious. It is unnecessary and I agree with Ha Ha Ha...season is over and Park Vista was the biggest underachiever, atleast Atlantic took The Ridge to OT in the tie breaker. And yes, PV has alot of talent and they lost...UNDERACHIEVEMENT. Get it right you fool. Dodd and Dickman dont belong in the same sentence, Matt Dickman is a clazz act, while Dodd, just look at the actions of his players...sad.

What happened at the end of the PV - Lake Worth game was terrible but had nothing to do with Coach Dodds. As a matter of fact the players involved were severely punished and some might not be back next year. A coach can't control everything that happens, but he sure can hand out consequences and thats what Dodds did. As far as the overachieving/underachieving argument. Last time I checked Boca has 3 or 4 kids going D1 this year and Atlantic has the same. Not sure about Seminole Ridge but Park Vista might have 1. point is...Atlantic won 5 games with a whole lot of talent...underachieved. Boca had a great year and went as far as they should have...basically had the year they deserved. Seminole Ridge is well coached and made it into the playoffs where they were outmanned yet still held their own against a better football team...overachieved. PV knew this would be a tough district and they were right. They had the #2 offense and the #13 defense, not usually a good combination. The games they lost other then Dwyer were high scoring. With the PV D they weren't going to make it into the playoffs and if that doesn't change next year they will be in the same position. Did PV underachieve? Hard to say but their coaches did a nice job with the players they had so I'd have to say no.

PV has the best Line Coach in the county??? That is a joke! Unless you consider teaching OL to poke eyes, Hold, Grab and other things.. That is a dirty group of linemen.

Here is the funny part of everything. ALANTIC, PV, BOCA, PBC and SRH. That is talent from top to bottom in that District. SO number 3 and 5 go to playoffs?? What is up with that?? -
You must be crazy!!! First- remove Central from any discussion they HAD 1 player and he is gone, will be years before Central contends in district 8. Sem. Ridge is the most physical team and they have 15 very good athletes and are the best coached. If they had a quarterback, well that is a big if, but they also have one of the fastest guys in district 8 and he is young. Park Vista has a chance next year with the return of Mason and a good, not great, O-line, but coaches suck and it will be just a matter of time before they screw up. Atlantic did, and does, have the most SPEED, but defense was sissy soft. No reason to believe they will improve except they should have won more games this year. Boca was the best team in the district this year w/o question. Bobcats should have beat Treasure Coast and be in the semi's this week.
RANK; Boca, Seminole Ridge, Atlantic, Park Vista, and, oh yeah, Palm Beach Central for the 2009 season.
As far as next year, Seminole Ridge will win district with Park Vista runner up. -

you can all talk about who is going to be the next best team in palm beach but i think you all have forgotten that treasure coast beat all the teams but atlantic because they didn't make the playoffs this season

The Titans have a great defense and no one that Seminole Ridge or Boca played did. Dwyer or Glade Central would hang 50 pts on Treasure Coast and the Titans have an average offense that might even get shutout by D or GC. Boca and the Ridge play one maybe two teams a season that are of high caliber and until they start playing non district games against these teams instead of chumps(wins), they will never compete with the big boys. Ya got to play the best to become the best. Also, Atlantic will improve over their down year so do overlook them or ya might get 50 hung on ya. Although I am a cobra hater I think they are the team to beat next year in their district.

Why would those guys transfer to another school when I believe this is there senior season and I have heard they are being recruited pretty heavy. Plus I thought that park vista is poised to compete for a district ship and more. I have heard the Trey mason kid is pretty good and your qb runs the offense good. Did something happen why they would go to a school that is not set up like park vista.

The only reason matulis and preble would leave would be if trey mason left. I asked mason if he was leaving he told me no.
he could be lien but he said no. So the only reason preble and matulis would leave is if mason was gone. those 3 are the entire PV team. if ones gone, the teams gone. -
Wow that would be bad. I hope not for the sake of the PV program and it would be a shame when you have played at a school and then leave in your senior year. They might regret it, but hopefully it's all rumors. There are a lot of those out there. Anyway thanks.

Spanish River could use em. WHY is PV only about these three. All three played last year and Cobras were not very good. I here all this talk about these three kid's but no other player on PV. The Post did two long pieces on PV and both were all about these three. If Cobras do not win their district they will be the biggest underachievers of all time and ya no what, they won't even make the playoffs. Boca, Atlantic, and Seminole Ridge are all better than PV.

PV has a whole lot more talent than just those three and one of the best coaching staffs in 8-6A. The great thing is that blog proves nothing......it will be decided on the field in the best district in Florida.

I'm sorry but I saw PV play three times last year and saw coaches rewarding very bad behavior on the field of play. I saw their head coach high five their star #10 for going over to the bench of another team and getting in the face of theirs coaches and player's and pounding in chest. This is high school were it is the ABSOLUTE responsibility of coaches to teach character, and Dodd chose emotion over that very principle.

To respectfully disagree....Coach Dodds would never reward that type of behavior, your post is way off base. Coach Dodds as was the rest of the staff completely disappointed with the way that the Lake Worth game ended.

It was the regular season game against Seminole Ridge and I saw it with my own eye's.

Saw PV v Boca last year and toward the end of the game # 10 threw his helmet and it landed on the track to the loud moan of the crowd. Coach Dodd did not bench him, like he should have, he continued to let his star play. I GUARANTEE that he would of been benched, no matter what, If it were the kind of coach you give him credit for. Park Vista was guilty of a lot of poor sportsmanship last year without the proper actions of coach Dodd, and that is a fact PV can not deny. It is not only about winning at this level and, in my observed opinion, that seems to be all Dodd is about.
I must admit my son played against PV the last several years so I do not care for PV's current program. I will say this, Coach Dodd is no Coach Dickman, if he was he would of gotten a handle on the crap the Cobras pulled last year immediately and sat ANYONE regardless of who they were. At this level, it's character over wins. -
First of all his name is Dodds. Second of all, you have no idea how many times he sat a kid for an extended period of time for a behavioral problem (including Tre Mason). Football is an emotional game and if you think throwing your helmet is as bad as fighting after a game then you just don't get it. So much has been said about PV but I believe Lake Worth was fined the same amount if not more for the fight. Obviously the FHSAA didn't feel they were victims.

Park Vista is all hype!!! They have never been very good, and will not be very good next season. This is supposed to be their year this upcoming season. Prediction 6-4 and 4th in district. Mason will get his yards because that's all Park Vista has. As far as all the hate for this program, ask yourself this, Cobras were not very good last year so why all the hate. Answer, they earned it with their attitude and actions both on and off the field, great job coach.
