  Cardinal Newman now has some real strong recieving threats in WR's Rudolph, Brown , and TE Burke. But with Benes gone and Mastics not being a comparble player what will happen to nearly there whole offense, there Passing game will be shot.

  along with the departure of ballestero, benes, sellers, gannon is also the coaches (most importantly) FLEURY!!.....Walsh is by himself now with no assistants....rebuilding time has come again for newman

  Hmmm u so wrong 56ace. Mastics threw for 116 yard and one touch down. he has a stronger arm and knows how to read the defense/ don't be a hater..of later gator...

  No doubt we lost valuable players and even more valuable coaches but newman will still compete next year. Newman had a young team last year with mostly juniors and soph0mores, now they will transition into a more veteran team of seniors and juniors.
  Because newman's kid are experienced and have already learned so much from Fluery and the other coaches they will still perform well. I'm not saying they are going to come out and beat Heritage or anything but they aren't as bad as you think. Oh and mastics is just as good as brett just shorter.

  We still have some good players (ie. Burk, and Rudolph) and a lot of the upcoming sophmores are rising to the challenge. Don't count us out yet
