There will probably only be one class, flag football has 170 schools with one class, there is 248 schools in weightlifting and they have 2 classes. Couldn't find any solid # where FHSAA divides. The smaller class would probably be the better if divided now.
Just called FHSAA and they verified there will only be one class.
I wonder if they will do big districts then (8 and 9 teams per district for palm beach county) or small as stated above by "makes sense"
if you do the math with 16 districts it would be 8-9 per district.
or you can get another round of playoffs with 32 districts which would be 4-5 per district. Anywhere in between there would need to be byes in the playoffs. With 32 districts and winner and RU making playoffs means 50% make playoffs, probably too much. If the district gets too big it becomes difficult to schedule out of dist.games
Thanks to Laxer and the above posts for this info. Hopefully this forum will stay factual and not digress. Can't wait to see the districts.
Just contacted FHSAA and they said that district info should be release by the end of next week.
Glad to see Estero registered. Heard there was a possibility that there school district was not going to allow them to field a team. Good news for those boys who love lacrosse.
What is the stats of the JV programs. Is their going to be a jv program as well?
Some schools will have JV teams, others will not due to the number of boys that will be allowed to participate in the sport due to Title IV. Some schools will be limited to the number of kids they can have on both teams...you will need to contact your school or HS coach for that answer...especially if you want the facts.
who was in SA s district last year?
Just Them, a one team district, i think SA was the only PB school in fhsaa
